11 - What are their representative colors?

Red/orange for Mairon, Black/blue for Melkor. Those are the colors I use when I sketch them anyway xD Although I will say, Melkor is very iridescent rainbow to me. He's the glint off of ice crystals and the sheen of slick oil. You know how if you look at a black cat in just the right light, their fur will have a faint rainbow shine? That's Melkor. Mairon's color scheme is much less complicated. Blood, ash, fire, gold. Maybe a little soot and enamel in there too.

I'm a sucker for a devoted Melkor and handkisses... maybe Mairon taking a bath (naked and/or bejewelled and gold-entangled) and Melkor kneeling beside him, kissing the palm of his hand or the inside of his wrist or something like that? 🥺

1. if you could sit down and finish any one of your wips without anything stopping you, which fic would you choose?

She Knew Rage, the Arwen x Eowyn longfic corruption of them both arc where Arwen and the witchking both fight at Helm’s deep and Eowyn is cursed by Sauron for slaying him. Because of all my many wips this one has a specific block where because I wrote a lot for it and then deleted it all I’m finding it so hard to return to despite the whole story living so vividly in my mind. So if nothing could stop me I’d want to finish that one and do it justice. I even have the perfect ending that’s all ominous and uncertain for the 4th age: “There must always be a dark Lord in middle earth” vibes

3. what's something you like about your writing?

Hard question. There’s so much that pisses me off about it. I suppose I quite enjoy writing long strings of emotions:

“it made her feel feral and raw and furious and oddly weightless, as if there could be no consequence to any of her actions”

I enjoy writing those and reading it back because I think it captures an overwhelmingness of feeling that I often find hard to articulate in my own life.

4. is there an au or trope that you haven't written before, but would want to try?

I would like to finish the aus I’ve started lmao. I don’t often glom to particular tropes or aus but once I’ve come up with internal logic (or sheer fuck it we ball jokes) I get very attached to seeing things through as thoroughly as possible and then they get too big for my limited focus.

Basically nothing is off limits but there’s also nothing I’m aching to pursue
