The majority of these thoughts ran through his head as he waited outside in the queue until the doors opened to the arena, tapping his foot with impatience until the line had finally began to move, eventually walking inside  after getting his ticket checked. He scanned his surroundings, witnessing all the other people filtering in and checking around at merchandise only to realise that no one else had come to this event alone. The thought made it hard to swallow, his throat tightened but after a brief close of his eyes, he exhaled slowly and was able to move forward, running his fingers through his mousy brown hair to recollect himself on his way down the steps toward one of the first few rows until he found his seat. When he looked back up, he could see a woman, alone like him though she clearly didn’t seem as bothered by this fact. Perhaps...perhaps he could have someone to talk to. It would make the show more tolerable. Come on, what’s the worst that could happen? After a few short glances her way, he put on a grin and turned his body to face her way, fidgeting with his fingers in his lap before doing his best to make small talk. “Hey, uh...your first time seeing one of their shows too?”

Years ago, Charlotte and Jane were roommates. It was a one-bedroom flat, somewhere in England. They were known as the ‘new kids’ ‘round the city, which she didn’t see as a bad thing. That was when she was a small musician, performing in a girl group called The Peppermints. They spoke of her roommate being linked to Eric Clapton, the guitarist from Cream- which she was well aware of, although she didn’t have much an opinion. She thought that her love life wasn’t much of her business.

     EARTHLY LIFE takes some getting used to.

     HE, HOWEVER, is grateful he has a life at all -- he anticipates he would have met a rather grim fate had fortune not blessed him with a merciful rescue.  Charlotte is kind enough to allow the visitor to remain at her home, but in his gratitude, he finds he feels terribly awkward when asking her for assistance.  After all, he is immensely indebted to her, and it hardly makes sense to cause his savior further inconveniences.
