October 20th.
It had been ten days since Vera Misham had woken up from her atroquinine poisoning. Ten days since the police questioned that poor, weak girl about what had happened in their atelier. Ten days since she only confirmed what Apollo Justice, Phoenix Wright and the Mason System had already proven.
That his brother had been guilty of murder.
Klavier knew that the only right thing to do was to bring out the truth in that case. He knew that there were nothing he could do to protect his brother. He remembered a chat he had with his older sibling, years ago, when Kristoph had asked him ‘But what will you do if someone you care about commits a crime?’
He lowered his hands, placing the report he had been reading back onto his desk, rubbing his face. He felt exhausted, his body tired because of the lack of sleep he got. He knew that he needed a rest - he was just too scared of sleeping, of dreaming. So instead of taking a break, instead of resting, what Klavier did was burying himself in work.
