#penguins!

My latest animal Au, once again its all @lisellelascelles's fault, blame them!!! lol.

Summary:

The Emperor Penguins have to find a new home, one where the ice wont melt beneath their feet and kill their chicks.

There is no other choice, no other hope, but to migrate, to march to a place where they can be safe.

Maybe their safe harbour also involves a nosy little Adelaide penguin who is instantly taken by the large, caring Emperor penguin who marched into his territory and his heart.

“We leave. We can not stay here. We can not return here,” Thorin called over, causing the other two penguins to look at him with worry. “Thorin, the chicks are too young to move,” Balin said thoughtfully. “They are, but when the females come back is the best time. They will be healthy and full of food. We need to leave and find a new place before the chicks are big enough to go to the ocean. If we don’t, they will return here next year. We always return to where we were hatched. We can not risk the future of our colony. No matter what may happen to this year’s chicks,” Thorin said sadly as he looked down at Kili sleeping between his feet. He would do everything in his power to keep Dis’ youngest chick alive. Thorin would die for him if necessary, but regardless of how much he loved and adored the chick, he couldn’t risk their colony for him or any of the newer ones. Especially when there were plenty of healthy yearlings that had survived.
