yeah im in math class. yeah im clicking pens. you fuckin WISH your notes were in 4 distinct colors that each have a different meaning. my notes are so legible and easy to understand and you will NEVER be able to achieve that
The first ever time I listened to Blank Space I thought my CD was scratched because of the pen click đ
I love that she does the "pen" click in the acoustic version!!!! đđđ

I was listening to older episodes of the Switched on Pop podcast (as you do) -- itâs a neat look at how songs are constructed, particularly songs that match lyrical meaning with musical intent. I enjoy music, and I donât know much about music theory but I know enough to get what theyâre saying (they say it very clearly).
In the episode I was listening to -- from March 2015 -- they were discussing the @taylorswiftâ song âBlank Spaceâ and how it includes musical blank spaces, as well as interesting âunfinishedâ sounds to reflect the âunfinishedâ relationships Taylor is singing about.
But then they asked: in the chorus, Taylor sings âIâve got a blank space baby [cl-click] . . . and Iâll write your name.â Whatâs the click? Their suggestions ranged from a door closing to a gun being cocked.
But I think theyâre missing the incredibly obvious: itâs a pen click. It seems like the obvious choice -- click the pen open so she can write the name. So I recorded one, and now we can all simulate Taylor by singing with pen effect.
No, I donât know why I do these things. It just bugged me enough to grab a pen and do something.
okay so I'm laying on my bed writing a song and my sister is sitting at my desk and I clicked the pen to write somethin down and she goes "and I'll write your name". this is the life i live. please note: I laughed harder than I should've.
I wonder if taylorswift really did use a pen during record of Blank Space I mean the pen click thingy.
