1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)
oooo maybe either the letters fic (because i am so deeply fond of it and always will be) OR maybe one of these 5+1 (because i am nothing if not a 5+1 stan. my favourite way to structure anything ever.)
2. Go to your AO3 “Works” page, to the sidebar with all the filters, and click the drop-down arrow for “Additional Tags.” What are your top 3-5 most used tags? Do you think they accurately represent your writing habits?
- Swearing (9) - Fluff (8) - 5+1 Things (8) - Canonical Character Death (6) - Happy Ending (6) no yeah i think these pretty much accuretly describe my writing. a 5+1 with a happy ending. im pretty sure that canonical character death tag comes from me constantly making rose molina stay dead which hm never noticed i did that before lmao
30. Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?
i think some of the stuff in the runaway royals fic was out of my comfort zone because im not very good at a fight scene so i found that quite hard to get right. and then there were some smuttier parts of lucky one that i actually ended up cutting because it just felt so out of my ability to write well that i didn't want them to be read at all. i guess it helped to make me reaware of what i was good at writing, like i feel like i've gotten pretty good at a kissing/make out scene and then fading to black. i might revisit the writing smut one day because it would be nice to include in some stuff, but maybe i'll post it anonymously first or soemthing
37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?
ooo i kinda have 2 for this the first if the juke flower shop/tattoo parlour au because i think it's so cute!! some of my best writing done in 8 hours. but also the reggie 5+1 because photographer reggie is something that can be so personal and i just think we always need more of reggie and his little found family.
