Something that has been helping me as a person who keeps missing editing mistakes in their writing (I should get a beta reader but I'm too embarrassed to ask for one LMAO) is reading my work on my laptop and my phone??
I'll do my main edits and everything on my computer, and then when I'm done I'll open it up on my phone and I find that for some reason I find so many more things I need to fix while reading it on there
It might just be because it's formatted different so I'm not skimming over things? But it works 🙂↕️
I am so close to finishing this chapter.... maybe 500 more words and then it's editing town baby!!!! (but I've been rewriting so much of this that it's basically fully edited already, so it'll be more like a cursory run-through and then you will have it in your hands to chew on)
I wrote 2k words today!! I could have done more but I really struggled with this one scene in particular and kept rewriting it LMAO

also a little vulnerable but I've been reading a lot while I've been gone and now that I've come back to writing I can't help but feel like my work is so plain 🫠
I'm so envious of writers who can use such interesting language because whenever I try it just feels so forced? And it's just a matter of having to practice it and find proper usage but idk!! Maybe it's how surprisingly restrictive writing in second person for reader inserts is? Maybe if I wrote chara/chara it would feel different?? Who knows.

So I'm writing chapter 15 of dream of us in a year, and I'm struggling to make a decision.
I know I haven't updated in three months (sorry!!!) and I want to get this one out to you ASAP, but I still have a fair good bit left to write and I don't know how long it'll take me.
There is a point pretty soon where I could cut it and it wouldn't feel weird-- as in it'll wrap up nice and not feel like I left a chunk out. It'll be over 7k words which is decent (my average is 10k), but it won't be my full intended vision for the chapter. I could probably get it out in the next three days if I do this.
Otherwise I can just keep working on it, but I actually have no idea when it'll be out, or if I'll get busy again and then have to put it on hold once more.
So which would you rather?
Cut chapter to upload sooner
Keep writing and upload later
i don't mind doing either one! But I know I've been gone for ages and I want to give you guys something, but also don't want to cut the chapter if you would rather just wait!!!
