what would hpd traits be? not like full pd
“traits” (or features) of a PD just means that you have some symptoms but not enough to meet the full criteria.
so for HPD, you need to have 5 or more of the criteria, so someone with traits of HPD would have more than 1 but less than 5 symptoms.
obviously just having 1 or 2 symptoms of a disorder isn't enough to call it "traits of", so you'd need to have enough to just miss out on meeting the criteria. if you meet key criteria but still not enough for a full diagnosis - the key criteria for HPD is "pervasive and excessive emotionality and attention-seeking behavior" - it's more likely that you'd be diagnosed with "traits of" regardless of other symptoms you do or do not meet.
