Clara deciding that the reason that Grief isn't afraid of her is because he's too stupid to be

Clara saying "I know how to eat you open your mouth and go 'nom'."

Teensy: *describes Clara killing a man* Healer: Attagirl!

Daniil trying to lie to Block and doing a horrendous job and Block believing him anyway.

Artemy's toenails? why not fingernails? joke that the Worm responds to by being like "please stop"

Daniil telling Artemy to stop growling at him because he doesn't like it and Artemy is just like "you'll learn to love it"

Artemy calling that one messenger who comes to talk him to Aglaya a bootlicker

Tot: That's startling! What's wrong with you? Healer: Good question, kiddo!

any of Artemy's responses in p2 to a kid's description of him as being fat, with bulging eyes and a weird limp and a stupid expression bc the responses are like "My expression's not stupid, kid, it's bewildered" or "Thanks, now I know what I look like."

the ending conversation where Mark is implying that Daniil's route is next and Artemy is just like "yeah good luck with that smartass."

OOOOOOOH YES!! i personally have two ideas for her. i do love trans woman eva. i also like genderfluid eva. i think they can go hand-in-hand... transfem genderfluid eva, in that she sometimes wakes up and identifies more on the nonbinary alignment of "i feel like a concept" because of how she connects to ideas of holiness. looking at the cathedral and thinking "she's just like me for real".

i like to think that maybe she came into her identity when she entered the town and was sort of born anew. like i think she had a fairly privileged life before in terms of being wealthy but didn't really feel like she belonged where she was. not in a dramatic way just so much as her feeling purposeless and then being out on her own gave her a chance to experiment.

i love that read of her imitating the herb brides being a deliberate performance of feminity. i'd like to add yulia saying of her in classic, "She dons the mask of absent-minded promiscuity. But this pose has nothing to do with what she really is." that feels like another way of saying that she is putting on a performance, although she's probably the most earnest person you meet as the bachelor. i also think her relationship with andrey is t4t and that they connect over their performance of gender in the ways it is expected of them, even if eva doesn't have all of the words.

omg hi hello yes i can talk about aglaya!!! though due to the nature of her character this will go into spoiler territory and thus i will be putting it under a readmore so anyone who has not finished playing the patho games can avert their eyes :)

whenever all the characters are cis it takes me right out of the narrative. why does everyone always have to be cis? it's just not realistic. i'm sorry i promise i'm not cisphobic, some of my best friends are cis, but i don't get why people have to make things political all the time :/

i get a little tired of the "TWYRE IS MARIJUANA!!!!11!!1!" headcanon. like do herbs not exist to you guys. it always makes me think of that scene in calendar girls where one of the main character's kids gets busted for smoking what turns out to be oregano. in the end i don't care all that much it's just one of those things that becomes "this fandom has one joke" and once you've seen it a handful of times it stops being funny.

so. i have this theory that daniil is like a cryptid in the capital. he is a famous scientist but he is also like an urban legend. people are not sure that he truly exists because everything they hear about him is so wild. so they think this guy can't possibly be real until they meet him and then they're very underwhelmed until he opens his mouth and they're like oh wow actually you are insane.
