"A-Team: Trap Disposal Unit" is a reference to the American TV show The A-Team, which also features four characters. These four characters (from left to right) are "Koitsu," "Doitsu," "Soitsu" and "Aitsu"—four generic characters whose names translate to "This Guy," "Which Guy," "That Guy" and "That Other Guy," respectively. They are also a reference to the four characters of the same name from the Parodius series.
In addition, their Attributes match their coloration: Water, Earth, Wind and Fire, respectively.
