S/I: I banged your mother.

- She started out as a security officer.

- She joined Starfleet because she wanted to help people.

- She loves exploration, but she considers herself a diplomat, strategist and (reluctant but willing) soldier before she considers herself an explorer. (At any given time she would prefer to act as an explorer rather than a soldier, obviously—this is on the level of identity.)

- She had at least one loving parental figure (to give her the telescope that “has been in her family for generations.”)

- Her favorite writer is Yoon Ha Lee. (I have a whole thing about his short story “Combustion Hour” and its Strong Discovery Vibes, and I might do an imageset edit or a crossover or something with it at some point, but for now I'm just tucking the story into the Trekiverse as a story that inspired Philippa. She has shadow puppets in her ready room; the story is about shadow puppets, and in it, a character delivers the incredibly Philippa line, “A heart isn’t what you have. It’s what you do.”)

- Captain Cat. Philippa having a cat named Captain Cat at some point in her childhood is a constant. :)

- Because Michelle Yeoh is Chinese Malaysian, Philippa grew up in Malaysia, and “Philippa Georgiou” is a Greek name, I headcanon her as bicultural, with a Chinese Malaysian parent and a Greek parent or grandparent.

- Speaking of Philippa's ready room shelves, because the showrunners just couldn’t resist making an out-of-universe joke by having her have books with the titles of TOS episodes, I had to find a way for that to make sense in-universe. 

I have the general headcanon that in the 24th century, there is a TV show of Kirk’s Enterprise’s five-year mission, where everything is recreated by actors based on Kirk's logs, and what we know out-of-universe as the TOS episode titles are the titles of said TV show episodes. 

So, I used that headcanon to fix the bookshelf problem. :D Whoever was the in-universe showrunner of in-universe TOS had to get the titles from somewhere. They got them from some adventure novels written at some point between the present day and the 2300s; these are the books on Philippa's shelves, which Kirk too was famously known to love (thus inspiring the in-universe-TOS-titling). Dovetailing with @subspacecommunication’s headcanon that Philippa is Jim's role model, I can totally picturing him squinting at a holoimage of Captain Philippa Georgiou's ready room, trying to make out the titles of the books on her shelves so that he can go find them and read them all. XD

- She doesn't have an iconic captain's beverage, but she does have an iconic captain's snack.

My parents on the phone: Wow that sounds hard! Well done!

My parents when I'm visiting: Do you want a beer before lunch?

Me: No thanks, I'm doing well with not drinking remember?

Them: Oh we know, we just thought we'd get plenty of your favourite beer in here just in case. You could just have one right?

Them: *pour themselves drinks at midday and continue to offer me beer*
