I'm not overly familiar with the series or fandom- I've watched the movie once upon a time and the only thing I remember is Jonathan Rhys Meyers and sadly thwarted incest-, but the description makes it nicely Dead-Dovey, which is one of the options that can make Grishaverse more palatable.
