figured out the paper piecing software enough to start making a bunch of bread tag blocks. Unsure if the entire quilt is going to be bread tags or if I'm going to make some bread blocks. Could also be a junk drawer quilt. Much to think about

For the life of me I cannot find the pattern I used for this- this might have been a free versus paid (I trace things back with receipts!).
The elephant quilt is done!
This was my first time trying the paper piecing method and only the second quilt I've made, and I'm really happy with it!
Template is from Violet Craft, and Longarm quilting service was provided by High Note Quilting.
My friend and I worked together to make a gift for a friend’s birthday. I did the paper piecing of Eeyore and my friend made the bag with it.
Lots of new projects to share. Stay tuned.
Quilted double bass quiver I made in 2024

The goal: mimic the brushstrokes
Found a pic on a college website that showed the paint and brushstrokes well. There were a lot of colors of paint in those strokes. So my brain was like ok, build up the colors of the paint too. And then later my brain was like what were you thinking building up all that thread. And then when today after the fourth additional color, my brain was like you gotta stop now or you never will. Then when I pulled it off the frame and stepped back, my brain (with a headache today) says see, told you.
Now to take something to make it stop hurting, and then bind and deliver…
Crafters hubris doesn’t usually hit me this hard, but yesterday I saw this English Paper Piecing pattern by PorcupineSewsThreads and thought to myself ‘I can make that’ despite epp not being one of my disciplines.
Well, over 24 hrs later and we’re done ✨ it’s not perfect but I am satisfied.
For almost a year now I've been working on and off on a paper piecing quilt pattern of Astartes helmets. I just think they're neat.
I have given myself quite the challenge, not least of which is that the designs are not consistent across official GW artwork. But this one I think I nailed. It's a Noise Marine Helmet complete with the mohawk, made out of intentionally clashing patterned fabrics. The wall hanging is around 50x100cm, with free motion quilting. It's a gift for the wonderful @tagedeszorns.
The pattern is a bit of mess, but if anyone is intersted: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tpz0ypDM94BDMUfxoV7qrlkF5vLoJEmJ/view?usp=sharing
