We’ve had a nerve issue in our left arm for almost 3 months now that’s made life very difficult. At its worst, it caused such intense pain in our wrist that we were incapable of doing even the most basic of tasks with that hand.
Since going to the doctor and sleeping with a full-arm brace every night for a few weeks, the pain has lessened substantially. We are tentatively attempting to get back to life as normal, but we’re not fully healed yet, and we have to be very mindful of when the pain starts creeping back. The last thing we want is to relapse.
It’s very disheartening to only be able to play videogames (even low-strain ones) for a very short time before that nerve starts complaining. It’s more disheartening still to have to call it quits and then be faced with the disappointment and occasional frustration of our husband. At times we can laugh it off and put on a brave, optimistic face, saying we’re sure we’ll make a full recovery soon. Other times, not so much. We have our own disappointments, frustrations, and despair to wrestle with.

74. at what pain level out of ten (1 through 10) do you have to be at before you take an advil or ibuprofen?
Oh god, it depends. Since we’re autistic, we have trouble figuring out pain at all, let alone how bad it is. If we have a persistant headache that gets in the way of work, we’ll take one, or if we’re having bad cramps. HOWEVER. Any jaw pain that lasts for more than like, five minutes? we take two ibuprofen immediately. TMJ flare ups are THE WORST and we want to kick that pain before it gets bad
Mom and I both have chronic pain issues and we were both busy all day and then were on the couch watching TV together for an hour or so which means that if you watched the two of us get up off the couch you would see two grown women suddenly go BAHHHHHHHHHHHHRGH as our bodies reminded us they hate us to the point where my mom started groaning before I did and went HA I BEAT YOU TO IT
just shifted into a different position and thought my knees are demons, which I think is probably a Big Mood for any of y’all other chronic painridden motherfuckers

I already touched grass and did my errands, but for multiple reasons my body is sore and mad as hell at me so I can't be upright to do the stuff I want to do. So I'm stuck here doomscrolling for 5000 years and trying to figure out something to slam dopamine into my ridiculous pee brain (no, not pea).
Some people need to be punched in the gooch and told the last thing they'll refuse to read will be a "don't walk" sign if they keep going the way they are.
im either going to die or amputate my entire leg with my teeth
A couple weeks ago I got into a scuffle with a guy while out working. The why or who or whatever doesn't matter or who one but I'd call it a tie.
But my right arm/chest was a bit fucked up from the wrestling bit of the fight and still hurts. I like it, I purposely try to keep it hurting by over using that arm or those muscles and try to hold on to pain as long as possible it's a game I like the pain.
Other then burning myself (which is a totally different goofy thing) I've never purposely hurt myself to play this game. It's starting to fade to where I don't think I can keep it and that is a weird bla feeling for me.
Am I alone in this fuckury?
