LANDLORD FROM HELL ( Or more like “Property Manager” who is also the landlord’s partner )

Oh boy is there a lot to unpack with this one. Honestly not going into details too much ( privacy reasons ) but I want everyone to know to be careful who they rent from in Oregon. Dirt bag manipulators and gaslighters know a little of what they are doing. Till they fuck up big time. Nothing starts to make sense. Story changes often. Nothing he says is in writing for legal reasons less he wants something from us then it needs to be in writing. Dislikes when facts are thrown at him making him as small as a grain of sand so he hangs by everything he can to try and make himself seem bigger.

Listen. I understand there are SOME good landlords / property managers. I believe that, but sadly I have yet to see some personally. The landlord in this situation is completely checked out and her partner is just dragging her name down with him. ( Yes, I strongly believe she needs to tell him ‘no more’ now, but she’s so brainwashed she believes what he’s doing is completely okay. ) Most of what he has done since the 2 MONTHS of me being there has been completely illegal down to him “evicting us” , trying to bribe us to only paying halfs rent in hopes WE ( my roommate and I ) send THEM a 30 day notice. ( I’m not making this shit up )

10 days of me moving into this home I was informed they would be kicking us out and offered out refundable deposits back IN FULL as he “trusts we haven’t damaged the home”. Not to take that back is why he “offered this deal” so he can claim more than half our deposits to himself.

When we kindly declined to the deal we asked him where he would like us to send our FULL MONTHS RENT to and he refused to get back to us because he was being “patient” with us in hopes we would accept the ‘deal’. - Funny thing is, that’s a lie because other obligations came first to him other than us. “Sorry for the late reply. I had other life events to deal with.” You mean running that shitty place you so call a “business”? Not only are you running that place to the ground, but so are you doing it to a home that isn’t even yours.

- I no longer live in this home as off the 8th and I’m asking for my refundable deposit back. That’s all.

Ok. I waited 2 years before checking the Eaymond Chestnut & Five character tag on Ao3. I was very patient. So can someone explain why no one else has written the 'Hazel sends five a couple months back instead of a couple DAYS back and five goes to live with Allison but has to pretend to be her little brother because she is NORMAL that you very much and we get amazing five+allison+ray meal interactions and five's general existsnce only furthers Allison's friend's secret theory that she escaped a cult and he will NOT go to school but he does keep dragging weirder and weirder Other Guys (brothers?) to the Chestnut household and what if he gets there just before the wedding because he would cry like an old sap if he got to go to Allison's wedding and he keeps writing math on the walls and just WON'T stop and Ray has watched Allison try to explain that stealing is bad even if you don't get caught and this ALSO perpetuates the cult theory and Ray tries to hire a sitter for the kid when Allison ans him have a meeting at oddessa's to attend but five just laughs at him and he looks at Allison for help but she is ALSO laughing and-
