you said you wouldn't be mean 🎶
Just wanted to share that I saw some guy at an event wearing this💔
vintage circa 2008 fashions. likely has not been washed since 2008
Hey Sci, glad you're still alive!
I'm glad that you didn't let the Artist Curse (Artblock/some health issue/anything that could prevent you from being you) stop you.
Feel better when you're ready.
We love you and are going to keep loving you no matter what happens!
thank you, anon! i too, am very glad to be alive. i appreciate the support!!
i know things are different for me right now - but, you know, life goes on - and i'm trying to find my work arounds, and figuring out what works for me, as i am right now.
drawing might take a back seat for a little while, but I've been using the time to finally... finally... get to work on the last few chapters of It Came From Outer-Space!
writing has always been a more gentle past time for me - especially in the times where i don't enjoy drawing so much. so, hopefully, after all the years of working on it... it might get finished, maybe. inshallah.
Congrats on feeling better, Sci!
thank you anon!! i still feel very tired but my cortisol levels are back to normal! which is about 5 times lower than i'm used to - but, like, that's what they should be at.
i'm functioning, but i don't have the same itch to draw and write that i had before - it used to be that i would literally explode if i didn't - and now, well - i won't explode. so i don't do it. i know i can still do it, because i still do it every day for work - but, for fun? eeh... i feel like that episode of spongebob, where i am plankton and spongebob simultaneously.
i miss having interests, though - right now my thing is reading - i'm reading books. if anyone has recommendations for science fiction novels, i'm all ears.
i know i'll still be here in this fandom space ad infinitum, but i guess i'm burnt out, and taking a break for as long as it takes. it might be days, it might be weeks, might be months, might be... we'll see, i guess...

Speaking of Superman and Spider-Man crossovers...have you read the og 1976 crossover? Because now THAT is some good fucking good i'd say.
of course! it's where my notorious AO3 profile picture came from
top 10 spider-man moments of all time, frankly
little hateful idiot. i love him so so so so so so much
frankly to me, this is the era of comics where they literally can do no wrong. it's the real golden age to me. and they're not afraid to devote time to putting together a big, epic story - whereas nowadays one issue hardly ever feels like a whole story.
i love that spider-man is such a little jerk that even superman almost fucking kills him.
something is really missing from current comics being too afraid to have internal monologue, i'm so so serious. there's a whole dimension of the characters that are missing when we think "thought bubbles are too cheesy" - shut up. i love thought bubbles. it's the heart and soul of the comic medium. bring back the fucking thought bubbles you COWARDS...
also peter's crash-out with jonah. top 20 spider-man moments of all time.
need a whole wardrobe full of his weird little sweaters too.
also i miss the era of peter just being able to inexplicably make anything out of webs. web-skis, sure, why not. let's go.
they really don't make them like they used to. 10/10.
spider-man: holiday spectacular (2025)
marvel's spider-man/superman is out now , as well as dc's superman/spider-man. have any thoughts on either?
i haven't fucking seen EITHER in my local comic book shops but both deadpool/batman crossovers are still on shelves. what is going on! i guess i'll have to find it online, by totally legal means...
i've read DC's superman/spider-man first and - it's lacklustre in the same way marvel's deadpool/batman was. but it's cute, for sure - but, i don't know. not a fan of how peter's written. he's a bit annoying.
feels very tom holland coded - and, yes. i'll hate on a spider-man interpretation purely for being tom holland coded.
i mean it as in - he's so childish and cutesy. not my peter parker. not terrible by any means - and like, i love any time i get to see peter have to lift like, a building. always goes hard. never gets old.
it's nice. i like this panelling. it's cute.
i just - i don't like how young peter looks and acts and feels here. doesn't feel right, to me. tom holland coded, again.
whatever you say, anime boy.
another panel i love though is this silhouette shot - where you see a flash of red from clark's cape and peter's boot - that's a neat panel. cute, cute.
ultimately it's cute, but a little bland. peter and clark just aren't that interesting. it's more the gimmick of them teaming up that sells it, rather than their characterisations. nothing new under the sun.
the marvel spider-man/superman issue, however... much better. it's what i hoped for - peter and clark's chemistry immediately fires on all cylinders. i love that it starts in the middle of the action - and i love the back and forth.
peter's characterisation feels much better here. much less naive, more like the peter i love. more sassy, more sarcastic, just right.
love that you immediately get the sense that clark is soft on peter. love how you get to see the gears click into place as they learn more about each other (what i wantedd!! what i wanted all along!!)
and, of course. spider-man gets to lift a big heavy thing. always love to see it.
just make peter have to keep a big heavy thing from collapsing on top of him and i'm happy.
i really love this scene - just - peter asking clark to keep him from getting too into his thoughts.
"I'm Stubborn Like That." - Peter Parker (2026)
i don't want to spoil the meat of it - but i like this issue. i'll keep looking, to see if i can find a physical copy. but it's a delight.
they are so so pretty together...
i love the heart-to-heart - it's sweet. i love peter wearing yellow, more than anyone can understand. i love peter BRINGING AUNT MAY TO MEET THE KENTS...
good fanfiction. perfect happy ending. it's all so cute and they wrote it for me. it's exactly the sort of thing i was hoping for - heart to hearts, and clark and peter bonding over their upbringings. they are so, so loved.
peter and clark are such a perfect two characters to crossover - i feel like the writers had much more to work with here than with - like, deadpool and batman. and i'm so glad the marvel issue didn't disappoint. the dc issue though... kind of forgettable. i kind of forgot it already.
Peter, stop flirting and focus!
Pe-oh my god he's so fruity. "Kravey baby" will be stuck in my head for a long time. If anyone reads him as straight, they're illiterate, the closet is made of glass and covered in dust and cobwebs with how forgotten it is. I really think 50% of Spidey banter is just flirting with his oponents.
truly I know it's the looney tunes style of banter that bugs bunny uses because spider-man thinks himself some sort of wise-guy - but we also know retrospectively that bugs bunny is, indeed, an lgbt icon. and so is spider-man
no straight man would design a costume like this.
Opinions on Curt Connors
i did not realise he was a fan favourite until i had the nerve to put the lizard in ask-spiderpool for all of One Panel - but truth is, I don't feel very strongly about Curt Connors. i am so so sorry to all those die hard curt connors fans out there

I was so excited for the maid outfit (im a freak not sorry about it) and was so devastated to see how over the top in an ugly way it was.
Actually Deadpools other skin (the pirate one) is also too much and very ugly. They're incapable of giving Wade good fashion taste in this game (┬┬﹏┬┬)
Is my memory crazy or did you already draw DP in a maid outfit ages ago?
the maidpool is canon
the marvel rivals team didn’t need to use their imagination at all . it already exists. and it’s sexier
The maid Deadpool skin is not even just maid and catgirl. It's maid, catgirl and magical girl.
Three things at once!
I think they were just cramming everything into one to see if that would make it more popular or smth.
But I have to agree that I'm enjoying seeing straight men seething over it, so it gets a pass.
that’s too damn much man!!
I recently stumbled across the Deadpool Samurai manga in a library and was wondering if you've read it. If so... Thoughts?
i've read the first two volumes! i think the deadpool characterisation is very, very fun - i always love the way japanese media approach wade's character, because his eccentricities just fit the format so well. i love the fourth wall breaks - they might be the most brilliant fourth wall breaks in any deadpool comic.
like, frankly, japan understands deadpool better than western writers do. i wish hollywood would stop making deadpool movies, and let them make it in japan.
that being said i really don't care for the original characters. which is rendered bearable for the fact that at least the writing itself is self aware about it.
i just do not need a teenage girl to hold my attention. it may be mandatory in japan but i don't need it. send her back.
idk if you play or have seen anything about marvel rivals but how do you feel about the deadpool maid skin
i think it's ugly.
i think the whole marvel rivals game is ugly, frankly. but maid and cat girl simultaneously? come on now, that's just too much going on at once. i say pick one.
that being said, i'm glad it makes the heterosexual men very angry. i'm always happy when heterosexual men are angry - particularly when it pertains to deadpool.
i think if heterosexual men, who, somehow love deadpool despite not knowing anything about deadpool are upset, then it's a net positive for the universe. but still, i won't draw him wearing this ugly thing.

Hi Sci, I hope you are recovering well.
I hope I am asking this question in the correct blog, cause I felt this is more of the ask blog, but I also feel like it is kinda fan fic from my part. (Also I felt someone already asked this).
When the events of the second movie of the spider verse were happening, what were Wade and Peter doing?, were they already exiled for the butt contest?, were they eating in the cafeteria while Miles was being chased?
I think the couples drama alone was enough for miguel to want nothing to do with both of them
reading circle chase and I feel like a confused time traveler, just smile and nod while someone just said 5 slang terms and references I barley registered as english
this is what the comic reading experience is meant to be
