minato's too arrogant to wear full coverage armor because he thinks an enemy shinobi can literally ever get one over on him. the actual secret reason he does it is because Kakashi is a biter when he's cranky.

Asuma refuses to acknowledge that his kids are easy because he loves complaining. Gai's kids are insane but at least it's mostly his fault. Kakashi spends a signifigant amount of time in the library because he has more then good grounds to believe his kids are possessed (outside of the obvious). And if any of them tell Kuranai ONE more time that she got lucky with how easy her team is she's going to break their mind in half like a kit-kat bar.

minato has the biggest creepiest blue bug eyes in the world and kakashi doesn't even talk on missions cause he's been teased one too many times for sounding six years old (wonder why) and he doesn't need to talk because Minato can basically read his mind at this point. you know a diplomatic protection unit HATES to see them coming. fuckin freaky ass kids that can and will kill you if you say the wrong thing on the wrong day. and the hokage won't even care cause this blonde bitch is the lynchpin of the war effort.

The hokage had ANBU looking for sasuke when he didn't show up for the third round of the chunnin exams. He fully thought that the kid got got by orochimaru and just kinda sighed about it. Kakashi literally just kidnapped the last uchiha and didn't think to tell anyone. Okay.

I think watching Naruto and Kiba growl and bite and beat the shit out of each other was An Experience for sleep deprived 12 year old shikamaru. Funniest gay awakening ever. Only explanation for why Shikamaru is suddenly sitting in Naruto's room waiting for him to wake up after he exhausted himself training even though he has his OWN 3rd round fight to be getting ready for and, prior to this, Shikamaru has only shown to be as indifferent/annoyed about Naruto's existence as the rest of their classmates. he was LITERALLY ready to die when him naruto and sakura went chasing after Gaara. Many people thought the problem with f&h 1 is that nas'hrah didn't say enough slurs. Termina heard their complaints and addressed this in the best way possible. Nas'hrah, burned up little shrunken head, can now project slurs directly into the brain of the silliest little guy on the train

Sigh. The tragedy of naruto's under-developed romance isn't that Kishiomoto is a bad writer. It's that he's great enough at writing stuff that compels him (surprisingly complex and developed (male) characters and dynamics) but half asses stuff as soon as he's bored (like with romance). Like if he was just a bad writer we wouldn't care or like the characters so much. it's the fact that he's SUCH a good writer in some regards that make his failures that much more frustrating.
