Visits were rare for Jennie. Managers were strict that even in their own dorms, not many would be allowed. Most of the time it was her who came and ran for someoneās call so sheās surprised someone has gone looking for her in the building. Sheās anxious but excited. She imagined a present to arrive. It is her birthday soon, after all. And lately thereās been many surprises for her, luckily mostly good. So even in the midst of a self-enforced austere during practice, she was quick to respond to the mention of a guest in demand of her.
However, lucky was not so lucky anymore. Who comes was no friend to her anymore. At least she couldnāt see him as one, not unless heās absolved. But that was unthinkable for her at the time. There was no magical pill to take the pain away but she found a way to go on, and if she goes on long enough, she would get over it. She just knew it. She bound herself by sacred oath. But right now wasnāt that long enough to move on just yet.
Itās the first time sheās been accepting of hating someone and in developing those ill feelings, sheās been golden. Letting the foreign feeling in was like stabbing a knife through something she had owned for the longest time but only realized later how inherently useless it had been to her. She tried not to let hate in, but hateās a real charmer. So she said: āWhat the heck, come on in.ā Brought two of his friends, petty and vindictive, and have been partying it up. Itās awesome.
She gives nothing more than a cold stare and a minuteās worth of silence before she starts up with a casual,Ā āWhat do need?ā she says with a firm tone, as if hinting that she wanted thisĀ ātalkā to be quick.
