“So why did you call us all here, Dick?” You asked, crossing your arms as he flew the bioship toward some unknown destination. M’gann, Artemis, Conner, and Kaldur shared similar looks. Despite all going your separate ways after the defeat of Granny Goodness, you all responded to a call from Dick to help him with a mission.
“I needed support and I thought I could bring the old team together.” Dick grinned sheepishly. “I mean Kaldur isn’t in charge of the league anymore, so I figured he could use some more practice.”
Kaldur snorted. You took a seat next to him before Dick knocked you down with his piloting skills. “That was kind of you, my friend,” Kaldur said, giving Dick a tolerating look. You nudged his side and rolled your eyes.
“Oh really? What about the rest of us, Dick?” Artemis put her hands on her hips. “Are we out of practice too?”
Dick mumbled something, avoiding her gaze. “He said he thought we could use some action,” Conner said. You laughed out loud. Dick glared at you dangerously. The others sent you suspicious looks.
“Get your mind out of the gutter, (Y/N),” Dick protested.
“Remember the time when Batman was scolding us for making a giant mess in the cave and he looked at (Y/N), so they apologized and said we’ll keep our group orgies clean from now and on.” M’gann giggled madly. You laughed harder when you saw Kaldur’s face burn bright red. A glance back at Dick told you his face was almost as red as Kaldur’s.
“Yeah, they dragged me off and had Black Canary discuss safe sexual practices and inappropriate jokes.” You smiled when you caught Artemis and Conner chuckling along with you. “Good times.”
Dick choked. “Do you know Batman interrogated me afterwards to make sure there wasn’t an orgy since all the cameras went down?”
The laughter bubbled out of you. The others joined in, even Kaldur had a smile pulling at his lips. “I just hope the Outsiders don’t follow our example,” M’gann said, taking a deep breath to calm down.
“Or particularly (Y/N)’s example,” Artemis retorted. Everyone laughed, even you. You wished Wally was here, he would have something to say about this conversation. Silence followed after the laughter stopped. You sensed everyone was thinking the same thing.

“Aquaman, can you give me a lift?” You asked, running toward him at breakneck speed. Kaldur turned, cupping his hands together and bending his knees. You stepped into his hands and he tossed you up into the air. Taking out your grapple gun, you fired it at the passing aerial drone and held on.
Dick had received intel about a company selling exploding drones to terrorists. The old team entered the company to gather more intel and stop the production of the drones. However, as things always did with you all, things got out of hands and it was now a full out battle with drones and villains-for-hire.
Your grapple sank into the drone and you held on tight as it suddenly went upward, taking you far away from the ground below. “Oh dear,” you gasped, flicking your thumb to ascend your line up to the drone itself. You attached one of your sticky bombs to the drone before flipping off and free falling to the ground below.
“(Y/N), you’re coming down fast. Do you need help?” M’gann’s voice filled your head.
“Yes, that would be nice,” you laughed coolly into the mind link. The panic climbed inside of you as the ground got closer and closer. You swallowed hard. “Hurry up, M’gann.”
Suddenly, ice formed under you. You flipped around and slid down the ice slide until you were on the ground. Jumping to your feet, you skidded to a stop only to see your ex standing in front of you.
“Hey babe.” Cam, aka Icicle Jr., grinned at you and checking you over. “Luckily, I was here, huh?”
You frowned. “Hey Cam.” You crossed your arms, checking him out as well. “Are you seriously working for these guys?”
Cam growled. “Well, I got fired by Queen Bee. Have to make a living somewhere.” Ice cold hands rested onto your hips. You raised an eyebrow when Cam suddenly pulled you into his chest. “I missed you.”
“I didn’t miss the frostbite, that’s for sure.” Your voice deadpanned. Cam flinched.
“It was an accident, okay? I didn’t mean to freeze you down there.” You swore he blushed beneath his icy skin.
Taking a step away from him, you kept your arms crossed. The cold bit into your waist. “Sure.”
“What?!” You stiffened when you realized the fighting around you and Cam stopped. The team stood around you. Dick’s mouth was dropped open. Kaldur and Artemis stared at you with wide eyes. M’gann just smiled, all knowing as always while Conner shook his head. “You dated Icicle Jr.?!” Dick demanded, shaking himself out of the shock.
“I did.” You narrowed your eyes at Cam. He smiled at you sheepishly. “We all make mistakes at some point, don’t we? I mean I remember when you went through your discowing phase.”
The rest of the team chuckled. “Oh, I remember that.” Cam smirked at Dick. “With the v-neck and the collar.”
Dick rolled his eyes. “Not the point.” He pointed between you and Cam. “What’s this?”
“Nothing, he’s my ex. I’m not proud of it.” You glared at Cam when you felt ice form on the ground around you. Your feet began to slide, bringing you back to him.
“Hey babe, we were great together. Remember how much steam we made?” Cam wrapped his arms around you again.
A grunt escaped you. “Yeah, and I remember having frostbite on my...” Your sentence was cut off by the team’s laughter.
“Come on, I got better control now.” Cam smirked at you again. You felt abdomen jolt at the sight. Oh no, he was pulling you in again. “Please?”
“Give him a chance, (Y/N),” Conner said. You looked at him only to see him smiling.
“Thanks Superboy.” Cam winked back at Conner.
You sighed, gathering your thoughts. “Fine, after the mission, you call me and we’ll start slow.” Cam’s smirk grew wider. “You’re lucky I already broke up with Abra Kadabra last week.” You poked his chest.
“You dated Abra Kadabra too?! (Y/N), stop dating super-villains!” Dick shouted, throwing his arms in the air. The rest of the team laughed again. Even you felt a smile pulling at your lips.
“Calm down, Nightwing. I’m rehabilitating them.” You kissed the corner of Cam’s mouth. “Get out of here and call me.” Cam whistled before running off into the darkness. You brushed off the frost he left on your suit and calmly walked back to the drone factory. “Shall we finish the mission?”
Artemis ran up to wrap an arm around your shoulders. “I can’t believe you.”
You shrugged, sharing a smile at her. “I love how I’m still driving him crazy even ten years later.” You glanced back at Dick to see him still staring at you with pure disbelief. Kaldur, Conner, and M’gann joined you.
Dick stood there, shaking his head. “I swear you do this all on purpose just to get under my skin,” he mumbled to himself before jogging to catch up with the rest of you.
So not to make a big thing about this or anything, but I can’t help but spot Endou and his ninja glasses in background scenes all over season 1 Daiya. But most people forget about him.
I mean, he’s here, commenting on Eijun’s pitches.
He’s even here, hanging out at Tetsu’s house.
And here, celebrating the Seidou win.
So given that he’s such an important friend to all these guys, the question remains, in this really, really pivotal moment...
