Itâs been an amazing and exhausting day. This impromptu party turned reunion with your old Karasuno classmates has dragged on since the early afternoon, being revitalized by new people coming and going, often bringing food and games and all kinds of drinks. Now, the energy hums anew despite the music and conversations having settled to a low rumble.Â
The chorus of thuds and cheers from the next room draws you in. Your guests, in their haphazard excitement, have pushed your furniture to the edges of the room. The partyâs new configuration takes shape.Â
Theyâre making a circle.
You start to ask whatâs going on until you see that your coffee table is the only piece of furniture that hasnât been pushed aside. On the table, a solitary glass bottle catches the light like a beacon. Â
They drag you in and insist you spin. As the host, you should spin first, and suddenly the bottle is spinning. It seems that some arenât aware that the game has begun. People are still moving around the room and settling into their seats.Â
The bottle stops.
âMe?â Daichi points to himself, searching the circle for confirmation. He makes eye contact with you for a moment and before looking again at the bottle.
âYes, you!â Suga laughs and claps him on the shoulder.Â
âI thought you all were joking about playing spin the bottle.â Daichi says, raising his hands apologetically. âI didnât know we started.â
âI can spin again.â You manage in a mostly-steady voice. This hesitation stings like rejection. âIf you didnât think we were playing or if you donât want to play, I can re-spin.â
âNo! Just⌠give me a second. Let me get over there.â
Thereâs a chorus of oohs. Daichi shushes them as he clambers across the circle, and soon you canât see the circle at all because all you can see is Daichi in front of you. Youâre reminded that heâs so handsome up close, which doesnât help your rising heart rate. He takes your hand in his and gauges your reaction.
âReady?â He asks. You nod.Â
You have imagined the scene before you, but never dreamed that it would actually happen. Everything feels warm. The loud music and conversation numbed your senses. You think youâre still smiling when Daichi swoops in and kisses you.
Someone whoops loudly. You canât tell who and it doesnât matter. Not now, not when this dream is briefly reality, not when Daichi is kissing you with emotion thatâs beyond playing a party game. Daichi pulls away after a beat but keeps your hand in his for as long as he can before heâs called back to his previous spot. The game continues in a blur, more cheers and challenges, but soon the group scatters into farewells.Â
âI can take that.â You reach towards the empty bottle in Daichiâs hands, but he holds it close his chest.
âNo, Iâm keeping it.â
âWhy? You donât think thatâs weird?âÂ
Daichi considers this and shakes his head. âI donât think so. In a way, I think itâll remind me that dreams do come true.â
âDreams?âÂ
Daichi glances around and then steps closer to you. His voice drops to a conspiratorial whisper as he says, âDonât laugh. Iâve had this long, recurring dream that Iâd kiss you playing spin the bottle.â
âMe too!â You laugh.
âHey!â He tenses at the laughter.
The words register and a new shared dream starts to take shape.

Just when you move to pay for your coffee, someone else reacts a little faster, paying for you. Who is it, fighting their way through a silly little pick-up line, trying to ask you for your number over coffee?
A card that is definitely not yours slides across the counter with surprising speed.
âI got it, baby.â He says, the pet name rolling off his tongue too smoothly for a complete stranger who sprinted to the register.
âBaby?â you scoff.
âYes?â he grins and spins to face you.
Heâs closer than you anticipated.
And cuter.
You shuffle away from the register, your pre-coffee brain struggling to make sense of everything thatâs happening. You wonder if the lack of caffeine has affected your vision and or grip on reality.
âOrder for Noya!â The barista at the far end of the bar calls loudly and interrupts your thoughts.
âThat was fast!â Noya claps once before retrieving the drinks. He thankfully doesnât sprint back with the two steaming cups in his hands.
âYou know you didnât need to do that.â You say as you accept your drink from him.
âI wanted to.â Noya replies, pausing to brush a strand of hair away from his forehead. âIt helps to have a cool entrance when trying to get someoneâs number. Makes an impression. Were you impressed?â He canât seem to stop the smile from spreading across his face, even though itâs completely ruining his cool facade.
âI was⌠surprised.â You finally find the word. Your heart and mind are working hard waiting for the caffeine to kick in. You could have sworn that he had asked you for your number.
âSurprised enough to get your number?â Noya tries again, earnestly, while gazing longingly at you from behind his cup. Now you know itâs real.
(When Noya first texts you thirty seconds later so you have his number, he includes his name and several heart emojis. Your contact name in his phone is Baby.)
Ittetsu Takeda has known how to tie a necktie ever since his middle school days but he loves asking you for your help. Sometimes itâs nice to have an unnecessary excuse to be close to you.
âIs this comfortable? Itâs not too tight?â You watch the fabric pull close to his collar while he turns his head side to side to test the fit. He faces forward and returns his grateful gaze to you. Adoration beams blatantly from the small smile forming on his lips and you feel your heart skip a beat.
âPerfect,â he answers and kisses you much too quickly. When he pulls away, you tug him back to you using the tie for leverage.
Itâs clichĂŠ, yes, but it works.
Takeda stumbles forward, his hands catching on your shoulders to stabilize himself. He lets himself get carried away and follows your - or the tieâs - lead for a little bit.
The fogged glasses and the now slightly askew tie are a cute look for him, but you canât let him go in for meetings like that. You quickly adjust the tie and press a final goodbye kiss on his burning cheek.
âOk, now you can go,â you giggle.
He doesnât know how heâs going to survive the rest of the day wearing a tie thatâs now just a tiny bit too tight, but itâs all worth it to remind him of you.
You practically melt with each footstep as you escape the freezing night air into the hotel lobbyâs warmth. The soft jazz music and lighting from the twinkling lights and the roaring fireplace lulls you into comfort despite your growing nerves. Bokuto shuffles easily alongside you past the beautiful, roaring fireplace towards the front desk.Â
âOne room for Bokuto,â he says to the receptionist.
The screen display shines brightly on the receptionistâs face, illuminating his slight frown.
âI unfortunately donât see anything under that name. Would it possibly be under another name?â The receptionist glances your way but you shake your head no. Bokuto had insisted on making the reservation, just like he had insisted you join him for a MSBY holiday party earlier tonight. The strange jitters he had during that video call are nowhere to be found when he smiles at you the way he did when you were kids. Your stomach somersaults.
âWeâll take anything... and cost is no concern,â Bokuto offers. The receptionist nods in understanding and considers the search. Bokuto squeezes your hand gently to hush any oncoming protest and whispers, âConsider it a gift.â
The gift is a plain, dark room and a large, solitary bed. Curtains are drawn tight on a long wall. Agreeing to the room to it in the cozy comfort of the lobby and then being in the room are two completely different experiences. Agreeing to share a room was different than sharing a bed.
Itâs strange to be in a room alone with Bokuto, several stories high, watching him casually take a seat on the side of the bed. He tosses himself backwards, so that his hair splays against the comforter.Â
âThis is really nice. You gotta try it.â Bokuto pats the space next to him, his hand creating small divots in the blanket. You sigh and sit next to him. Heâs right. The bed is really soft but to your dismay it seems smaller with Bokuto being right next to you.
âNo, you gotta try it like this!â You feel his strong arm loop around your waist and pull you down towards him. You land partially on his chest, half on the bed next to him. He still smells strongly of the party but being this close you can catch the smell of his usual cologne that causes your head to spin. His heart beat thuds rapidly in his chest and you wonder if it matches your own.Â
âYou have fun at the party?â Bokuto asks.
âSurprisingly, yes.âÂ
âSurprisingly?â Bokuto raises an eyebrow. âWe always have fun together!â
âThatâs trueâŚ.but thatâs the two of us, not with several other professional athletes at the fanciest party ever. I was nervous about making a good impression.âÂ
âOh! That makes sense. Sor-âÂ
âReally, itâs ok! No need to apologize.â You leave out the part of being strangely more nervous now than at the party that went much too late. You can feel exhaustion tugging at your eyelids and Bokuto yawns and stretches.Â
âI guess it is getting lateâŚâ Bokuto speaks through a yawn and you laugh. âYou can use the bathroom first.â
You nod and take your time with changing into pajamas, washing your face, and brushing your teeth. You wouldnât want to risk walking in on him if heâs in the middle of changing. He probably wouldnât mind, but it would be too weird now. Not after a full and truly enjoyable evening where Bokuto spoke openly about how wonderful he thinks you are and how he is grateful to know you to his teammates.Â
You knock from inside the bathroom door as a warning. âBo? You decent?âÂ
âAll good! Turn off the light when you come out.âÂ
You open the door and turn off the bathroom light and the switch that operates the bedside lamp. When the lights are off you see now that the bedroom is cast in flickering blue lights. Bokuto stands silhouetted by the large window, the curtains now open to reveal the twinkling city below.Â
âSurprise!â Bokuto says, ushering you again towards him. You approach to get a better view of the night cityscape.Â
âThis is incredible,â You continue to look out the window. Bokutoâs gaze keeps landing on you and your smile.
âWell, you enjoy the view. Iâll be right back.âÂ
You crawl into bed, leaving the curtains open so you can still look outside. It isnât long until Bokuto returns, dramatically closing the curtains.Â
âShowâs over! Time for bed!â He laughs and joins you in the bed. You laugh with him and itâs easy and comfortable. Itâs like old times even though there is the edge of something new finally taking shape. Heâll later try to blame it as a silly moment, but he kisses you on the cheek before he falls asleep with you comfortable in his arms.Â
Can I request a Bakugou imagine where the reader is a low-key confident person who ranks 5th in their class so she doesnât really notice everyoneâs admiration of her and basically Bakugou is in love with her and sets her straight when he finds her having self doubts and comparing herself to Yao-Momo?
Hey anon! Thanks for sending a requestâŚI went with the base concept of Bakugou crushing on and comforting a reader having self doubts. I hope you enjoy!
â˘â˘â˘
âHey, smarty pants, what did you get?â Bakugou jeers, jabbing at you in the shoulder while you look over your exam. He reaches over your shoulder, trying to take it to compare his answers to yours. He always did decently well - and he was curious to see how you two were similar, to see how your mind worked.Â
You typically welcomed his teasing, finding it familiar and endearing. Now, his mocking tone matched the doubts in your mind that you were not good enough.Â
âKnock it off.â You manage through gritted teeth. The tightness in your chest and throat made it difficult to shape the words you needed to say.Â
âHuh?âÂ
âIâm not smart. Maybe Iâm not even good enough for the hero course. Or UA for that matter.â The frustration that had built up for weeks after endless comparison, and struggles not producing the results you expected, finally snaps inside you. Now that youâve started confessing the thoughts on your mind, itâs hard for you to stop.Â
Bakugou listens carefully. Youâve always had his attention, but he hadnât expected this struggle. Truly, you had the respect and admiration from other classmates and faculty who saw your potential. Bakugou respected the focus that you had on your goals and ambitions.Â
âStop.â Bakugou says, but you completely ignore him.Â
âAm I even pretty enough to be a hero?â You choke out another doubting question youâve asked yourself. Bakugou is horrified.
âWhat does pretty have to do with anything?â He asks, hoping that it doesnât sound like heâs teasing. He just cannot understand why you are thinking like this.Â
You pause. Hearing the question out loud makes you think a little bit more about the thoughts that been circling in the back of your mind. The doubts that pulled heavily on your confidence, the insecurity that seemed to show up at the worst moments. Like⌠now, in front of Bakugou, a strong and brazen classmate who is clearly on the path to a bright future. Surely heâs never had a moment of insecurity.
âI donât know. I guess it would be nice.â You mutter, embarrassed that Bakugouâs making you acknowledge this in front of him.Â
He takes a deep breath. You canât tell if itâs because heâs frustrated or trying to give himself confidence. It makes you smile - Bakugou being unconfident just did not fit your mental picture. Â
âListen. Youâre good. Really good. You deserve your place here in UA and no one - including you - should try to tell you that thatâs not true.âÂ
You look at him and you finally can see the expression that he had hidden so well behind the teasing and the distance. You swear youâve never seen his gaze so soft as he searches your face for the thoughts that you hadnât spoken. Yet heâs serious, keeping his hands firmly on your shoulders to keep you from running away. He finds that this also keeps him steady.Â
âFor what itâs worth⌠I think youâre pretty.â Bakugou confesses and you feel your shoulders heat up just a little bit more. Or maybe itâs your own body heat rising as Bakugou pulls you in for a hug. You can hear his rapid heartbeat.Â
âDonât tell anyone I said that though.â Bakugou adds with a huff. You hum your acknowledgement. Itâs a promise.

Featuring: Sugawara Koushi x GN!Reader
Content: Pure fluff! Itâs holiday-themed domestic bliss with your mildly chaotic (but definitely adorable) husband Sugawara.
Word Count: 1100
Notes: Written for the For Better, For Worse Collab hosted by @mrs-kurooo!
Your husbandâs wedding ring catches the light as he finishes tying the knot on the last decoration in your home. He pulls his hands away from the red ribbon up in surrender, letting the green leaves sway in front of him as the hanging decoration settles in place.Â
He beams at his handiwork - the placement and height are perfect. Sugawara grins when he steps down from the small step ladder to stand beside you.Â
âOh look honey, weâre under mistletoe!â Sugawara croons, pointing emphatically up at the bunch of leaves and berries hanging above you at the perfect height and placement. The movement causes the floorboards to creak.
âYou gotta kiss me. Itâs tradition!â Sugawaraâs already leaning in close to you. The decoration still is settling into place and heâs much too eager, already trying to place his lips on yours. He canât help it - not when heâs seen mistletoeâs magical quality and power to bring couples new and old together in a festive way.Â
Even though youâve kissed your husband plenty of times before, you have to admit that the cliche of kissing under the mistletoe is still pretty cute.Â
Sugawara doesnât miss the small laugh that escapes your lips when he finally, finally presses his lips against yours, or the taste of peppermint from the giant mug of hot chocolate you shared. It feels like Christmas came early and his wishes are already coming true just by hanging the mistletoe. Heâs even more pleased knowing that itâs in the primary walkway so heâll be sure to catch you there often.
He thinks for a moment longer and decides that this simply wonât be enough. When he parts from you with a theatrical smack, heâs already mapping out ways to fully enjoy the tradition for the rest of the season.
A few days later, you hear Sugawara in the kitchen getting ready to head out for work, the coffee pot chirping and and the toaster chiming. The hallway floor creaks as you approach and you brace yourself for Sugawara to come bounding into the hallway demanding his mistletoe kiss like he has for the past few days.
It doesnât happen. You glance up and notice that the mistletoe isnât hanging in the hallway.
âGood morn-â You manage to say before Sugawara drags you into the kitchen. He presses two kisses to the top of your head.Â
âWhereâs the mistletoe today?âÂ
âRight here,â Sugawara taps you on the shoulder, prompting you to look up. Several large magnets hold the mistletoe in place at the top of the refrigerator. The weight of it pulls on the magnets and the bushel is sliding down.Â
Sugawara grabs it and places it in his pocket, a smile pulling across his face.Â
âItâll be somewhere else later. I promise.â
To your amusement but not to your surprise, he keeps his promise. He continues to hide the mistletoe. Sometimes the spots are in plain sight and others are a little bit more hidden. He has a reason for each location too in addition to just wanting a âfestive reasonâ to kiss you.Â
After the hallway and the kitchen, your shameless flirt of a husband hangs the mistletoe just above your bedâs headboard. Another week, you find it hanging in each closet in your home - yours, the linen closet, his - and you begin to wonder if heâs acquired multiple mistletoes to scatter around the house.
Sugawara even surprises you with pulling out a branch from his coat pocket while you two are out for a walk. You grab it from his mittened hands and run away with it, just for a chance to possibly hide it for yourself.Â
You almost donât see the new one when you welcome him home after he had to work later than usual. Youâre already embracing him in the entryway when he reminds you that the mistletoe above you ensures that he gets goodbye and welcome home kisses.Â
âI didnât even see it and Iâm here greeting you anyways,â you smile, feeling your face heat from Sugawaraâs adoring gaze. Even after all this time being married, he still could effortlessly give you butterflies. The mistletoe you stole from him still is hidden in your coat.
âBut now itâs a festive greeting,â Sugawara replies, wrapping his arms around you again and holding you close. The mistletoe stays there for a few days and then itâs gone again, waiting to be discovered like a gift tucked away in precious wrapping.Â
Itâs when you find yourself staring up at the ceiling, incredulous, questioning the lengths that your husband has gone to be committed to this mistletoe comedy bit.Â
âKoushi?â You call and heâs tripping over himself to get to you. Heâs been waiting for you to finally see it - a small branch of mistletoe hanging from the highest point of your home. Youâre dying to know how he got the mistletoe there but frankly, itâs probably better to not know the details.
âYou found the mistletoe!â He sighs dreamily and looks over at you. âYou know what that meansâŚâ
You do. Your sweet and mildly chaotic husband - all in the name of holiday cheer - has kissed you dozens of times underneath the mistletoe.Â
Yet each time heâs made it feel special. After all, despite his repetitive theatrics, Sugawara is anything but boring. Sugawaraâs strength and love comes from his commitment to you and the need for certain routines. The balance of responsibility, loyalty, and spontaneity make your husband who he is. It isnât lost on you that Sugawara has placed the mistletoe in the places that he knew you would be. It also is clear that the magic of the mistletoe for you and him as the self-declared âmistletoe menace.âÂ
You both get to see the magic for others in action at a party hosted by the Tanakas. Everyone, including Sugawara, is aware of the mistletoe prominently placed right in the middle of the party. When you bring Sugawara towards the window under the guise of looking at the snow flurries, you seize your own opportunity. You pull out the mistletoe from your pocket.
âOh lookâŚâ you say and before Sugawara can properly see whatâs happening, you kiss him. You drop the leaves on his head in the process and let it tumble to your feet. And finally, after a full season of kissing under mistletoe, you finally got your kiss without it.Â
Featuring: Izuku Midoriya x GN!Reader
Content: New Yearâs Eve feels a little disappointing without Izuku.
Words: 1080
Notes: Dedicated to everyone who feels a little unsettled or discouraged at the end of the year. We made it through and thereâs a new year ahead to make brighter together.Â
Todorokiâs penthouse living room currently bustles with party guests for his New Yearâs Eve party. Friends, familiar faces from UA and other agencies gather around, chatting as well as they can over the loud music. Itâs been a great party, celebrating a year where so many have had incredible moments and achievements. The reunions have been wonderful but hearing the news and comparing it to your lack of anything notable stings a little. Â
âHeâll be here,â Todoroki reassures you for the fifth time this evening as he pours you a glass of champagne. Your mind has been elsewhere ever since the party started, checking messages on your phone and glancing up at the doorway. Itâs nearly midnight and your friend, professional hero, and long-time crush Izuku Midoriya has yet to arrive.
You walk with the host to rejoin your friends, each holding their own drinks of choice. Thereâs only a few minutes left until the clock strikes midnight and you all can welcome in the new year together.Â
With each passing moment you feel your plan for the evening slipping away. The irony isnât lost on you. It feels fitting for a year where other plans and dreams didnât happen that this one would come short too. After all, you had pushed back your goal of finally confessing to Izuku back all year. A midnight kiss seemed like something doable to end the year and start a new one in a better way. While a New Yearâs Eve kiss was a cliche, it would at least cheer you up a little. It would be a moment to share with Izuku that you could call your own.Â
Cheers continue, clueing you in to the countdown. Denki and Kirishima are making a game of handing out as many confetti poppers as possible in the minute of the year. They take a lap around the room, nearly toppling over the furniture in the frenzied process, but they succeed.
âHappy New Year!â Everyone shouts, raising their glasses.Â
You stand in the crowded room and pull the confetti popper open. Couples are kissing and streamers are flying through the air. Gold and silver streamers fly out with a puff of smoke, revealing a paper purple crown inside. You place the crown on your head, happy to see everyone so happy. For a moment you think you can feel it too, until your face feels too hot and you canât hide the discomfort anymore.Â
The winter air outside on the balcony provides instant relief. Itâs much quieter out here, sparing the occasional shouts and the sporadic firework explosions from below. You see a group of what looks like middle-school kids, shouting out happily to be up this late.Â
You look up to the sky and see green shocks of light rapidly approaching you. The speed is alarming but you recognize it immediately and wave as Izuku launches himself from an adjacent building and lands next to you.Â
âH-hey, Iâm so sorry Iâm late. Mind if I join you out here?â Izuku asks, surprisingly casual for someone who just flew through the air from his quirk and his own two feet to get to you.
You nod, unable to really speak yet. Your mouth feels sticky from the champagne.
âI canât believe itâs been another year.â Izuku starts up the conversation again, watching you turn the champagne flute in your hand. You inspect it as if there are still bubbles in the glass.Â
âMe either. So much has happened and I still havenât...â you trail off, looking out at the cityscape before you. You bite back the tears that have finally decided to form. The pressure had built up all night or maybe even days. You especially hated that you were crying in front of him. This wasnât how any of this was supposed to go.Â
You take in one shaky breath and Izuku has closed the already slight distance between you, pulling you into a hug. Â
âOh no, havenât what? Iâm here.â He states the obvious. His voice makes his chest rumble against you and it nearly makes you laugh. It only makes the tears fall faster. You canât tell whether heâs acting as the concerned friend or as a comforting hero - and thatâs what makes the entire situation worse. The conflict strains against your heart, weighing you down despite his presence naturally assuring you.Â
âYou werenât here for the countdown.â You mumble into his shoulder. Saying it out loud sounds embarrassing but itâs true - you wanted him here with you for that moment. While that moment had passed, you wonder if this moment here is even better. Â
âThatâs whatâs bothering you?â He sounds surprised and youâre thankful that heâs not teasing you for it. He continues, âYou know, I promised Todoroki that I would be here by midnight. I really, really wanted to be...âÂ
âBut you got held up by some villain?â
Izuku shakes his head, suddenly bashful.Â
âMy alarm didnât go off. I crashed really hard after my shift ended and then I saw all those texts from Todoroki telling me that I had to be here and that Iâd be disappointed if I didnât show.âÂ
Youâre steady now in his arms, the tears no longer flowing. Even though youâre a bit paranoid of what Todoroki hinted at in those texts, youâre grateful that you can at least breathe again. Izuku peers at you, taking his thumb to softly brush against your cheek. His heart fully breaks at the sight of you teary-eyed but then he finds himself moving before he can think.Â
He brushes his lips against yours. To him, it seemed the best thing to do with you on a starry evening with fireworks still blasting off indiscriminately.
âOh my God I should have as-â he panics when his thoughts catch up to his actions. You smile at the flustered hero before you, thankful for his little bit of courage that built yours up in return. You pull him back by the collar of his hoodie to kiss him again and again.Â
Itâs clumsy but it just feels right. Itâs not perfect, but itâs yours.
âItâs not a midnight kiss but Iâll take it.â You admit.
âIâd kiss you any time if I could. Every day.â Izuku promises.
Inside the party, the cheering continues as Denki has challenged Kirishima and Mina to a dance battle. Todoroki leans back against the door to the balcony, ensuring that no one interrupts your moment. Heâs certain heâll be hearing about it from both of you. Â
Can I request headcanons of Daichi and/or Hinata with their S/O moving into their first shared apartment please?
YES! Thanks for your patience and please enjoy!
â˘â˘â˘
DAICHI is excited and nervous and delighted and terrified. He canât quite decide. Daichi is experiencing so much but he hides it well purely by his organization skills. The boxes are labeled and packed well and he can move the furniture around with ease. Daichiâs amazed by the natural transformation that takes place after the move. He loves that his coats are next to yours in the closet, and the various framed photos displayed on the wall, and mismatched silverware. Heâs surrounded by all of the things that remind him of you and has you nearby. His favorite thing in the world is coming home to you or welcoming you back home with open arms.
HINATA moving in with his significant other is full of enthusiasm. The decision was natural, the timing was right, and heâs thrilled by the thought of living with you. Heâs really excited about it and involved with the decision process. Hinata would put a lot of thought - at least, a lot for him - into making the move. Itâs not until you both enter your shared home and close the door behind you that he registers itâs happening. Shortly after you two move in, Hinata invites everyone over for a housewarming party. Itâs a chaotic but joyful gathering, and with you at his side it feels like the home heâs always dreamed of.
