Had a bit of a rough day (think I'm coming down with something) so I took it rather easy on myself today. Had 2 labs, lecture, did some research, a vaccination appointment, studied lots of orgo for my quiz tomorrow, and began my parasitology study guide. I also doodled a bit of X-men stuff as a study break (thinking about starting a Redbubble? Would anyone be interested in seeing stuff like that?)

Formula for index of hydrogen deficiency:
X is the number of carbons.
Y is the number of hydrogens.
Count the carbons:
There are eight carbons.
Now count the hydrogens:
There are eight hydrogens.
Plug these values into the formula.
The IHD is 5.
This makes sense because you can count rings and double bonds.
