Does anyone else look around their house after Christmas and wonder when the tornado hit and caused mass chaos and messes?! 😜 Gifts everywhere, leftover food and treats cover the counters, holiday decor strewn out all over, games, toys, and laundry clutter every space. This is the post-Christmas craze. 🎄 If you’re like me, messes like these cause extra stress and anxiety, especially with my ADHD. So I wanted to share a few tips for getting organized after the holidays, because when you are neurodivergent like me it can be really helpful to break big tasks into smaller tasks! So let’s head into the new year feeling on top of things! ✅ Tip #1: Take out the trash. I know this one seems like a “duh,” but with the extra trash bags of party plates and wrapping paper laying around, it’s gotta be first on the list. ✅ Tip #2: Put away all the gifts. Get everything out of the boxes (and throw those away or store in storage). Have each family member take their gifts and find a home for them in the correct place. ✅ Tip #3: Do the laundry and dishes. After the holiday festivities and parties, there’s probably a pile of dirty dishes and laundry laying around. Blast some tunes, wash, dry, and put them away. ✅ Tip #4: Clean out the kitchen. Got extra holiday food lying around? Bag it up, divy it out amongst family and friends, freeze what you can, get rid of tempting treats you don’t want lying around, and get that kitchen cleaned up! What are your best post-holiday organization tips?! 👇🏼
