New season of workshops
It has been great to get a new season of workshop underway. In September it was shadow work. AppliquĂ© and embroidery applied to the reverse of a fine cotton organdie so that the “shadow” is visible on the front. The work is translucent so it works really well for window treatments. We neatened the edges of the fabric so that the hoop can become the frame. Â
C’était vraiment bien commencer une nouvelle saison d’ateliers. En septembre c’était la broderie et l’appliqué d’ombre. On fixe les morceaux de tissu à l’envers d’un organdi de coton fin mais en travaillant du côté droit. Même chose pour la broderie. Comme ça les ”ombres” sont visible du côté droit. Parce que le tissu est translucide c’est une technique bien adapté aux rideaux. Nous avons ajusté le bord du tissu pour que le tambour puisse servir come cadre.
