Seeing Jaehyun’s face the moment you open your eyes is probably the best thing ever to wake up to. You had your arm wrapped around his waist as your head rested on his chest. You can’t help but smile, thinking how you’ll never get used to waking up like that every morning. It still feels like a dream for you, being with Jaehyun and all.

Looking so peaceful as he sleeps, you can’t help but admire his pretty face. It literally took you five whole minutes before deciding to get up to prepare breakfast for the both of you. You tried to gently slip out of the bed and just when you almost did, a pair of strong arms pulled you back and hugged you even tighter.

“Yah!” you softly called, tapping his arm lightly.

“It’s too early,” he groaned. “Get some more sleep, love.”

“It’s already 8:30, mister,” you said, waiting for a reply from Jaehyun only to get none. You looked up and saw him sleeping again. He must be so tired from his rehearsals last night. They’ve been rehearsing nonstop for the past few weeks and you could only imagine how tired the members were. After quite some time, you attempted to get out of bed without waking him up this time.

It was already Jaehyun’s morning routine to have a cup of coffee and so after brewing some for the both of you, you thought of making pancakes – basically the only thing you found in the kitchen that you can cook. You made a mental note to yourself to do some grocery later that day.

You stood in front of the stove, holding a spatula on your right hand while the other sits perfectly on your waist. Your mind was too busy going all over the place as you wait for that side of the batter to get done when a pair of arms snaked its way around your waist, causing you to jump a bit from shock.

“Good morning, love,” he greeted you in his low husky voice, sending shivers through your spine. 

With his arms perfectly wrapped around your tiny body, he rested his chin on your shoulder blade and watched you cook while he hugged you from behind.

“Hi, love!” you greeted, giving him a quick peck on the cheek.

“How was your sleep?” you trailed, turning back your attention to the pancakes you’re cooking.

Jaehyun started planting soft kisses on your shoulder going towards your nape then your cheek.

“I kinda overslept.”

He replied in his usual knee-wobbling bedroom voice. You turned to look at him and can’t help but get lost in his eyes. You’ve got to admit that your boyfriend looks hot as hell sporting that disheveled look.

“Babe, you might burn the pancake.” Jaehyun said, interrupting your thoughts and bringing you back to reality.

Oh shit.

You looked away, hiding your rosy cheeks. You began questioning yourself for how long you were staring at him.

Jaehyun let out a small chuckle before planting a kiss on the top of your head. He walked towards the counter and sat on the high chair. Diverting your attention back on the pancake, you flip it to the other side. You let out a sigh of relief.

Thank goodness, it didn’t burn.

“Can I just say…” he spoke with his eyes looking directly at you. “You look sexy right now.”

You felt your cheeks heat up after hearing him say that. Did he just?! You gave him a sharp look, eyes questioning.

What the hell is this guy up to?

That devilish smirk.

“What?” he asked innocently, still smirking.

You rolled your eyes and transferred the cooked pancake on the plate.

Suddenly, he stood up and walked towards you. He leaned in and whispered something in your ear that sent thousands of volts running through your whole system.

“My shirt looks good on you, by the way.” 

After giving you another kiss on the cheek this time, he walked past you before taking a sip on his coffee—still his eyes on you.

Soon you realized that you were indeed wearing nothing but his shirt on. Your cheeks instantly felt hot. No wonder he’s been acting like that!

“Y-Yah!” you exclaimed, hiding your embarrassment.

He let out a small laugh upon seeing your cute reaction. You were all red, avoiding his gaze.

Jaehyun reached for your hand and removed it from covering your tomato red face. He swiftly engulfed you into a hug and kissed the top of your head.

“Look at my baby, all shy and red.” he said softly, tucking some strands of your hair behind your ear.

Your lips turned into a pout as you sent him a death glare.

“Stop teasing me, Jung Jaehyun.”

He chuckled.

The both of you sat on the high chair as you enjoyed the pancakes and coffee you prepared, catching up on each other. He couldn’t help himself but rant how tiring it was rehearsing every day for their upcoming tour.

“Thanks for making breakfast,” he says softly. “I know I promised last night I’ll be the one to do that. I’m sorry I overslept.”

You closed your eyes as you rested your head on his chest.

“Don’t be sorry, love,” you whispered, enough for him to hear. “You’ve been working too hard and you deserve to rest as much as you can.”

“I know but I still wanna make it up to you.”

You looked up with a cheeky smile on your face as you thought of something after hearing him say that.

“I just know how you can make it up to me,” you beamed.

Jaehyun raised a brow.

“Wash the dishes, please?”

He frowned.

You let out a small chuckle and kissed the tip of his nose.

“I know you can do it, Jae,”

He smirked, giving you a quick hug before getting on his feet. You remain seated while you watch your boyfriend wash the dishes.

“Thank you, jagi!” you chirped happily. “I love you!”

He looked back at you, still smirking.

I love him fiercely, forever, enough to cross forests on foot just to get a glimpse of him, a little wave while he rushes to his etiquette classes in our Genshin DR, to wait for him to sneak out and give me one or two pecks behind a bush before someone notices their princess is missing. I love him so much that I'd fly in my dragon form, with him laying on my back forever; not stopping to eat or rest, just to let him have a good sleep when he's restless, I'll scour the skies for someplace in the spirit world that sells the exact kind of daifuki he's been craving. I love him so deeply, that I don't mind having to sit up and get to work even though I'm tired and my body aches all over from helping him through his heat; carrying him to the bathroom, washing him, lovingly forcing him to eat and drink, cleaning out our nest and doing laundry even as I can't keep my eyes open... it's all a gift to me. it's happiness and fulfillment.
