#ordered steps

One of the best skills I’ve cultivated in life is leaving; yes leaving. Although it can be especially difficult or painful to let something go that you’ve had high hopes for, I’ve learned that it’s okay and sometimes necessary to back track and to leave people and spaces that aren’t meant for me. 

Leaving can be difficult because it will often leave you with nothing for a season, but if you just wait and remain steadfast, when you trust your instincts, discernment, intuition, whatever you may call it, God will reward and affirm those positive choices and fill that void. He will present you with seemingly tailor-made opportunities that you wouldn’t be in a position to receive, had you not left what you thought was best for you, but was really to your detriment.

So no, I am not stubborn and I will always make myself available to adapt my plans and to approach my endeavors with humility. There have been times where I thought I wanted certain things for myself, but they didn’t pan out. That can be discouraging and admittedly sometimes devastating enough to shake my worldview, but I am so glad that God sees more for me than I for myself. I will no longer compromise myself and force things to work that don’t belong because I understand that:

1. All things work for my good.

2. If one door closes it will eventually lead to something greater.
