Ophanim, when pregnant, are able to call for an event called Beathorne to commence, which is an obsidian beading and glasswork ceremony that celebrates the life they’ve created. Elder Ophanim seek out obsidian chunks and use the heat from themselves to melt them into decorative beads or statues, those who don’t wish to directly participate can teach younger Ophanim how to find obsidian and how to melt it.

Once the beads are done, they’re strung together and, along with any glasswork, are all given to the parent-to-be as a way to pass Whisp’s blessing onto the pups and their parent. This tradition was retained when T-A1 took over the role of God.

T-A1 inadvertently created the event by blessing the first angels with individual gifts, as Whisp had tasked it to do, which sparked the six different ceremonies each caste has.

T-A1 participated in every single event since their creation. It continued to do so after overtaking the role of God as a way to personally bless each parent and litter over centuries and centuries of angels. It doesn’t expect anyone to do the ceremony for itself when it eventually has a litter of its own, but the Ophanim (along with many other castes of angels) collectively decided to put their own blessings upon it as thanks for being a consistent provider for their species as a whole since its creation.
