12/51 - Falling Flour Sack - Level 2! - May 28

Hooray! I made it to level 2 in only 2 years!

I was more excited to try this challenge. Thought about it on my commute, sketched at lunch, and then spent 4 days erasing and reworking the frames. I grew up watching Tom&Jerry on long long road trips, so it's something I want to be capable of.

I did get side-tracked by Tom&Jerry. Turns out the animations started in the 1930s as theatrical releases. That is why the 4th of July episode has awards in the intro. There was more effort and time going into these shows compared to many today. Saying "They don't make them like they used to" isn't quite as simple.

How do I feel rn + animation practice

- its surprisingly more intuitive than clip studio paint

- still figuring out "levels = layers" so I solved an issue where I wasnt able to draw due to something involving the camera setting by simply making a new level. "Thats inefficient ss fuck" correct

- I figured out how to export as gif! Here is a really ugly wip of an upcoming animatic about Dib going through Gay PanicTM

- "did u just say animatic" yes "yours not gonna idk start with a ball bouncing" no "what if u lose all ur progress" we will get there when we get there
