Enjoy Pork Chops in Sour Cream Sauce, which is rich and creamy. The pork chops are seared and then covered in a sauce made of onions, garlic, and thyme. This is a hearty and tasty meal.

Ingredients: 4 boneless pork chops. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 cup chicken broth. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon dried thyme. 1 cup sour cream. Chopped fresh parsley for garnish.

Instructions: On both sides, season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops on all sides until they are golden brown. Take the chops out of the pan and set them aside. Put the chopped onion in the same pan and cook it until it gets soft. After you add the minced garlic, cook for another 30 seconds. Chicken broth, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme should all be added. Use a stir to mix. Add the pork chops that have been seared back to the pan. Put the lid on and cook on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pork chops are fully cooked. Take the pork chops out of the pan and put them on a platter to serve. Add the sour cream to the sauce in the pan and mix it in. Stir the sauce all the time for another two to three minutes, until it gets thicker. Cover the pork chops with the sour cream sauce. Place fresh parsley on top of the pork chops in sour cream sauce and serve them with your favorite sides. Enjoy this tasty and comforting dish!

Hi! There are heaps of books and stuff out there but I haven’t read any of them lol. I learnt everything either at school (when I showed cattle, and was a cattle judging competitor), or immediately prior to having the animal I was being lectured on come directly at me in the drafting yard. Which I can say is extremely effective but not very accessible to most people.

Idk what country you’re in but online resources I use are; state department of agriculture/primary industry websites (mines the NSW DPI), those have got your laws, pests, diseases, nutrition info, etc on them. The laws on acquiring and keeping livestock are probably the most important thing to understand before you even start.

The various studstock breed websites, usually have some stuff about the breeds structure/eval/temperament on them.

The Rural Bookshop is Australia based and has heaps of books about everything. As I said, I haven’t read any of them, but they’re designed to inform people and they’re usually always the most current print. You could probably find related titles elsewhere.

There’s lots of blogs (off Tumblr), and the Backyard Herds forum. I’m not on BYH so I don’t know how reliable people on there are, but their sister site for chickens is really helpful so I’m guessing the folks there are similar. The blogs can be hit or miss but alongside government/scientific sources they can be really helpful.
