āDo I frighten you?ā
Lips pressed against her ear, an arctic wind settling over her spine. It drained her of her warmth, left her with nothing but the chill its words only could evoke in her.
āGoodāā
Hermioneās vision swam, the constant flow of water along her back dissipating into nothing. It was as if sheād been stripped bare. Unmade in that moment. She was only consciousness, only a mind wading through the nebulous unknown.
āāRemember this fear, Hermione.ā

Hades was nervous. As king, he deserved, to be invited to his underlingsā events and weddings, but as the god of the dead, he was often avoided in such celebrations. Where life was honored, death was not. This was the first wedding the Lord of the Underworld attended in eons. He kept fussing with his suit, his shoes, the cufflinks; anything to ease his anxiety. He could not ruin this. His presence was dark and feared, never welcomed. So this was an opportunity not to let others see what they feared the most.
It eased him to know that the bride had a connection to death. It made him feel more confident to show up. And as he looked into the mirror once more, he fixed his black bow tie and his light blue handkerchief. āStop freaking out. Itās just a wedding. What can go wrong?ā He told himself before he took a deep breath and summoned the shadows. As they fused with his godly body, he willed himself to go upwards, to where the ceremony was being performed. Hades had made it in time. He had spent a big portion of the morning changing his clothing and his overall appearance.
It had been a beautiful moment. Hades couldnāt help but smile. The union between two souls that adored each other was something he craved yet feared; but this time, it was simply delightful. The King felt a tug in his chest. The bride glowed, the groom looked presentable and the words that were spoken melted his cold heart. The scenario was perfect as he looked from a safe distance, as mild shadows danced around his feet.
He looked up at the couple, a wide smile showing on his pale features. It was a contrast to his usual self. He couldnāt help it. This was something he craved and knew that the Reyes couple deserved it more than anyone. It made him happy to know that Leyla had found her one true love. And for a moment, Hades and the bride locked gazes. His purple-colored eyes found hers and nodded as he mouthed āCongratulations, my dear friend.ā After that, Hades dissolved in shadows, but the smile remained plastered on his face.
Mickey confronting Ian about his bipolar disorder/getting help
Lip mentioned it to Mickey once, how much like Monica he seemed. He didnāt want to believe it, of course; Ian was high, thatās all. So Mickey brushed it off until it was mentioned again, this time by Fiona. Then Carl. Then Debbie. It was when Frank, of all people, said something that Mickey was forced to confront his worst fears; that maybe Ian wasnāt okay, maybe it wasnāt just drugs. Mickey googled it, the symptoms, cross-checked them with Ianās behaviour and noticed they all fit, and then googled doctors in their area that work with people who had, well, low funds.Mickey took Ian on a jog with the false promise of going to a diner with āthe worldās best coffee,ā as Mickey put it. When they arrived to the clinic, Ian looked confused for a moment before swiftly turning around to Mickey in anger."I canāt believe you!" Ian shouted, Mickey rushing to get Ian to calm down."You need help, Gallagher." Mickey whispered sympathetically. He looked around at the waiting area, a couple patients sitting in chairs, reading magazines or texting, a couple more looking at the scene Mickey and Ian were making."Iām getting help! Iām helping myself." Ian whispered roughly, trying to push past Mickey but failing when Mickey put his hands on his arms, stopping him."Doing hard drugs isnāt getting help, Ian." Mickey said, Ianās name coming off his lips softly, his eyes softening. Ian looked angry for a second more before Mickeyās gaze broke him, and Ian nodded in compliance. "Weāll get you real help, Gallagher. Iāll help you." Mickey led him towards the check-in counter, Ian signing his name and sitting down in a chair defeatedly, still upset with Mickey by how he avoided looking at him.But Mickey was okay with Ian being angry with him, because Mickey wouldn't know what he would do with himself if anything happening to his fire-crotch.[[send me more!! I need practice getting into the characters minds before I do a full fanfic.]]
He had already started regeneration when the first gun fired, he had made a hologram of his companions, his friends come up. And, since this wouldn't know any better, the sensors were not used to the difference between hologram and human, he had approached it and felt the bullet first penetrate his side, and then he stepped back a little, looking down at the blood that would be spilling out at any second now. Oh, the humans would always think that his blood was the same as theirs, but no, it really wasn't. This was quite different, he didn't know what to make of it.
The last words the Time Lord could spit out, or the word, was WHY. It wasn't fair, that's exactly what he was thinking. There was nobody else in the TARDIS, except maybe his daughter, but he didn't obviously shout loud enough for her to be able to hear. He had his hand pressed over where the shot had shot him, and he was now up against the console, hisĀ old girl. She always liked that name, and if he could think it she could hear it. His head could hear the silent cries, the thoughts of all friends on Earth who's life he'd changed.. but they were calling out.
Once he was gone, there would be nothing left to terrorize Earth, they'd think he was still around, but he was ignoring the fact of how many alternatives of him were going around, because he was his self. He managed to spit "WHY?!" out once more, but looked back over to the hologram which was still standing. It made his eyes fill with tears; it was all of them, but they weren't really there. And even if they were, some of them were quite attached and they would reckon he could just regenerate; and the time he'd have trying to explain to them that he couldn't. Not this time.
It was too late, his hearing had turned into a loud ringing noise, and he watched around the TARDIS once more. Nobody. Nothing, that he could hear. He would expect the TARDIS to take him to someone important. But he wasn't too sure she would do, she wouldn't want them to witness this as much as she had to. That really wouldn't be fair. His expectations of one of his old friends waltzing through the door were pretty high, but that was beyond impossible, and there was no chance of that, not now.
GulpingĀ moreĀ than he'd thought he was, he slid down from the TARDIS console to sit there, the second gun would go off at any time now, and he was on his own. As usual. He forgot to leave Amy and Rory a message. Well.. Rory had been informed, butĀ he hadn't believed him. That was what made him think that the Doctor was lying, but he wasn't. And now, if Amy and Rory ever came back to the TARDIS, they would find it empty, except from the control room. They would find him.
He was pondering over whether his River would come back, he really wished she hadn't escaped like that, he'd give anything to see her again. It literally broke his heart when he'd been informed she'd escaped.. and she hadn't come back in a few years. River had promised him she'd be there forever. But she left. He was still wondering why she would make that sort of promise, then break it, it wasn't fair. By now, his emotions were toying with him and he could hear nothing but his heartbeats, and that was probably all he would hear, ever again.
Before the other gun went off; he pulled himself round and up, standing at the console, and told her to leave the two Ponds a message, a special one from him, and if they didn't get it may hell pay. She knew exactly what she wanted them to know, and she would make sure they got it. Well, she may not be able to stop this, nothing will be able to, but if its the least she could do, she would do it. Even if it was the last thing she'd ever do for him, maybe it'd make people realize.
Realize what? That was what even she didn't know. And, though her thief hit the floor from slipping on the blood that was forming, he couldn't get back up. It was too much of a struggle, and he couldn't tell whether his vision was blacking out or whether he'd just faceplanted. He was silently cursing the anons, forever cursing them, but there was nothing nobody could do about them, and everyone knew that. Well, that's what he thought, but they hit everybody at some point.
He had a few minutes, he had estimated, before the other gun went off, so, with having some time he scanned all the memories he'd go with. Amy, Rory.. Annabelle.. Demacrex. Demacrex wouldn't know who his Dad or Mum was, or are. The thought of that actually made him sick. He wanted Demacrex to grow up knowing he was loved, knowing that he had proper parents; knowing who his parents were.
Those were the last memories the Doctor managed to transmit through the sound of his blood pounding throughout his ears, and even then that sound stopped, he heard the clicking of the trigger on the other gun, and as it turned slowly, he held a deep breath in, which actually he'd been holding for a long time, and waited silently. Well, he figured it was silent anyway. And..
BANG.
He's gone. It's just a body there. A Time Lords body. A soulless, lonely body, that probably nobody would find. It's just going to be left there. There's nothing anybody could've done, nothing at all. The anon struck again, and there was no way out of it. At least he went knowing that he was loved, and that he left so many people with better lives. And people cared. But did they now?
