im just so taken by the idea that john and arthur become nearly one consciousness that i am writing rambles about it

they can interchangably transfer control between either of them

some processes take both of their focuses

im thinking like they pretty much become one whole being

they get so close and their souls become so intertwined and tangled and melded together that if arthur was blue and john was red the purple would be so homogenous that you would have absolutely zero idea there were seperate colors to begin with

you would think the purple has always just been

they can both have conscious thought and seperate thought. they have different minds i think

Three gods who were created to help restore Earthrealm after the war of the gods at the dawn of time in Earthrealm. After Shinnok was banished to the neatherealm following his defeat, Earthrealm was left in a terrible state.

As such the Elder gods created three gods from the same divine essence from the earthrealm gods and called them the Gaia gods to help restore Earthrealm. Compared to the elemental gods, the Gaia gods would serve their purpose of restoring Earthrealm to make it suitable for earthrealm life to recover. They would also be known as distant cousins to the elemental gods.

They represent the soul, the depths, rivers, and natures of Earthrealm. Once their restorations were complete they would turn to stone fulfilling their purpose.

T’ien

T’ien is the leader of them, he embodies the soul of Pan’ku; the positive personality of the One Being. T’ien watches over the balance of all the souls in Earthrealm. Due to his constant struggle between the his morality and detachment, he developed 4 legs and 6 arms. Compared to his siblings he knows vast knowledge and desires control.

Despite it all he cares about the Earthrealmers deeply and views the mortals on a scale none could comprehend. He continued to watch the mortals evolve, after he was satisfied with their evolution, he turned to stone fulfilling his purpose his tomb resides in Mt. Ifukube in China.

Kuan Lin

The goddess of sacred Caverns and youngest of the Gaia gods. Kuan Lin is known for her compassionate heart and nurturing spirit.

When Shinnok attacked earthrealm, most of the earth’s core was shown, Kuan then utilized her powers to heal the cracks. This was the beginning of the caverns within earthrealm. She held a close bond with Fujin as they combined their powers to make the caverns suitable for life. After she completed her work she was turned to stone and resided in the Maisan also known as Horse Ear Mountain where she created the first Cavern.

Shang Ti

The god of mountains and rivers. He is a stoic figure of the group and outspoken. He cares greatly for his siblings and cousins. Shang TI would use his powers to create the rivers within Earthrealm and form the mountains after the battle of Shinnok. He can be rash but admires the mortals within Earthrealm. He continued to observe the mortals as he was the final of the Gaia gods to fulfill his purpose and became a statue in the Huangshan mountains 5,000 years before the 10th mortal kombat tournament in Earthrealm.

Notes

I found these gods by chance they were mentioned in the Mortal Kombat novel based on the 1995 movie. they seemed really cool and wanted to try my hand on designing them. I decided to give them designs and make them be distant cousins to Raiden, Fujin, and the elemental gods. I did come up with a reason for why they were absent so they would be turned to stone. Well guess who did just that <333

I hand sewed a doll (I gotta remake its head again), Made a wood whittled knife (did you know wood can burn when sanding??) Baked way too many fucking cupcakes and learned how to pipe icing (dishes took a half hour and I got frosting in areas I have no fucking idea how), and less than an hour ago sat in a parking spot watching a guy play his tuba with a giant sign saying "Happy Monday" (I got honked at)

In the beginning, there was One. The first spark of life in a vast, but empty universe.

This being was proud, enamored with their own existence. They were a vast cosmic entity, with the seemingly endless void at their fingertips. Master of all they surveyed. Free to explore this void, their own abilities, their reach, as they wished.

And there was nothing else like them, nothing quite on their level of existence.

Even as other life began to rise, the One Being stood alone.

The void would begin to be inhabited by other beings. Beings of energy and raw elemental forces, akin to the One Being, but… smaller. More limited in their ability.

When the One Being observed them, they concluded them to be lesser. Not on the same level of existence as themselves, not able to match their grandness and scope.

And so, the One Being began to view these creatures as mere prey. Energy to be consumed to enhance their own power. Unworthy of sharing the void with them.

This the way things remained for eons, the One Being as predator and oppressor over these younger lifeforms who persisted, but were always on the razor’s edge of extinction.

But with one fateful discovery, everything changed. The beings had begun to explore their own powers over creation in an effort to find a way to stop the One Being’s rampage across existence.

Eventually, their numbers would be cut down to only a few. But those few who remained had managed to focus their power, and with it forge weapons: six talismans that when united granted a mastery of reality itself that rivaled the One Being, and separated, were still enough to cut the skin of the first God. They called these weapons the Kamidogu, and they proved to be what was needed to turn the tide.

The new Gods used the Kamidogu to slay the One Being in a cosmic battle which finally brought their struggle to an end. They carved the One Being to pieces, and watched in awe those remains began to reshape, the energy forming into… a universe. Realms. A whole new domain within the void that these new Gods had known for all their lives.

The Gods descended into this infant universe to explore its reaches, taking on a domain of light known as the Heavens and as their new home.

As they explored the realms, they discovered something miraculous:

Life.

New, precious life beginning to rise from the ashes of the One Being’s defeat. Life which would go on to call this new universe home and for whom it would be all they knew.

The Gods felt a sense of responsibility for this life, a responsibility to shepard and protect these creatures. But as they walked among them, they found that the exertion of their powers, and in fact the very energy of their forms, seemed to destabilize these realms. And that instability carried with it some kind of psychic feedback the Gods could sense… it reminded them of the rage of the One Being.

Left with this difficulty, the Gods found that they needed to make a choice. After their ordeal, the Gods had no desire to be tyrants as the One Being had been to them.

So they made the choice to step back. They restricted themselves to the Heavens and decided to take the role of arbiters. With the aid of a race of Protectors they created, they would look over these realms and preserve this universe, but allow the mortals to decide their own fates and destinies without interference.

But over the millennia, as the new Gods became the Elder Gods, they began to realize that their battle was not quite over. The essence and mind of the One Being had persisted, rumbling within the fabric of the realms, rageful at the desecration of their magnificence and endlessly seeking a means to return. The Elder Gods have done their best to hinder the One Being’s possible return, but they will not cease.

And their whispers will at times break through, and reach the ears of a select few of those who lived within this new universe…
