You'll notice Barret replaces Tifa as the secondary character in both of the Remake scenes. The lines are paraphrased, but the general sentiment of the unused script, seeing the devastation and death toll and possibly meeting loved ones is the same.
Cloud’s line in the original callback is paraphrased too, but we can see the shot afterwards and the lighting is the same. Also, it's nighttime in the Shinra building, so where's the light coming from? That's a skylight.
Seeing these, I think the devs intentions are to show an entirely new ending 😁❤️
