I love how over the course of doing this drawing my layer group names have gone from very specific and organized labels such as “front curtain”, “midground” and “alt back curtain”
And have since devolved into ones like “FIYAH” “bottols” and my personal favorite: “✨drugs✨”
I saw the book "we need your art - stop messing around and make something" by Amie McNee a few days ago and got it today and am just browsing through (it has a nice best of quote kind of statement every few pages) and boy, this one (p. 83) hits hard.
I think it'll be a fabulous read, and I think I'll recommend it to all of you.

The thing about the "just draw without expectations" method is not that every drawing you make without expectations is a masterpiece, it's just that you don't expect it to be a masterpiece so when it ends up becoming one it's a pleasant surprise but if you expect everything you draw to become a masterpiece some will ultimately end up not being masterpieces and those will stick out negatively while the ones that do end up being masterpieces are just what you wanted and expected
Well you can tell by the way I boob my breast that it's hard to draw the human chest
