Me: ...welp, I've gotten Callyn's omni-crafting-and-gathering all the way up to level 70 in everything, which is as high as I can go in the free trial. Time to-
Blue: Buy the game?
Me: No, still too much stuff to do on the free trial, not worth it yet. So it's time to-
Blue: Finish off the last couple post-Heavensward arcs and start Stormblood?
Me: -start making my secondary FFXIV character a fully-leveled omni-crafter-and-gathered!
Blue: Wait-
Me: (pulling up Albert) Secondary omni-crafter-and-gatherer!
Blue: No-!
Me: (heading off to do my Grand Company delivery dailies then start on the Ixal questline for more crafting dailies) Secondary omni-crafter-and-gatherer!!!
Blue: Why are you like this, just play the game-??!
First splendorous tool maxed out! Just 10 more classes to go....
From back when i started playing in January! Still obsessed with crafting ;w; Love me lemons
I'm thinking of a "<entity> of the pool, what is your wisdom?" post I saw a few months ago, which had someone foretelling that as soon as people got what they wanted in terms of glams and mounts from Island Sanctuary they'd abandon their island and leave the animals to starve.
My good sophonts, I am an omnicrafter. I can trade cowries for blue and green materia. These beasts and gardens will remain cared for as long as I play FFXIV. Any non-crafters not caring for their island are missing out on the gil fountain that 6.3 will result in, as those like me explode literally hundreds of materia on pentamelded crafting gear.
And no, it won't stop when 7.0 releases, either. Older materia inevitably factors into every pentamelded set, because older materia explodes less than the newest ones, and if we're gonna overcap the stats on a piece of gear, might as well use the stuff we aren't going to need as much of to successfully affix.

Now I can actually work on Trusts and combat jobs and maybe even do my roulettes and raids. This is all that I did over the last week or so, most of those DoH's over this weekend. Yay when the hyperfocus kicks in??
Dark Autumn may level up her gatherers and an easy DoH for melding reasons, but I think she's gonna wait for custom deliveries and the crafting tribe for the bulk of those.
Also the Studium Deliveries are great overall; the Faculty of Anthropology made me teeth grind a bit cuz that's not how Anthropology works, but the focus really is on the RomCom between the oblivious professor and his assistant so hey. Archaeology Grandma Rurusha is a delight, T'laqa Tia is too relatable (and the FSH story goes over consequences of a major MSQ event on the world environment!), love Debroye and her quest to save Sharlayan's taste buds, Jude is precious and must be protected.
Seriously game let me punch someone while in DoH mode that jerk deserved it...
The final Studium capstone quest is also wonderful. I am so glad they made crafting (and catching up in leveling it) so much more accessible in Shadowbringers, as these are honestly some of the best stories and characters in the game.

Tiny Tinkerers Crafting
---------------
Another one for the books! I had SO much fun doing this build for the unique PoV. This is my attempt at creating a lalafellin workshop.
The owner requested a place where visitors could request crafting commissions for his little business and wanted a space where he could just zone out and craft without being TOO glitch-heavy. Using both floors, I think I achieved that.
Not without a few bumps on the way, however.
I want to give a big shoutout to a previous client and the owner for BOTH helping me with crafting items. Alfie Sunfury of Behemoth, you rock! Thank you for helping me obtain the finishing touches while the owner was indisposed. This turned out to be a LOVELY surprise!
-----------------
Lets talk about the build.
The upstairs is a simple Lobby featuring some of the top-of-the-line crafting tools mounted upon the wall. Showcases display the owners skill and multitalented capabilities as an omnicrafter should. It makes a statement upon entry while not being bold enough to say IN YOUR FACE. In the center of the room is a message book for commissions with a template to house crafting orders, and behind is a merchants stand to weigh the gil received! On either side is general seating as the work takes place!
Behind those two main walls the sizeĀ of the house changes into something much... more personal. Smaller. This is a house for a lalafell afterall. Like Komra, one might have trouble navigating the more enclosed spaces if youāre not lalafellin. A Male Miqote had trouble in here! [Thanks again, Alfie! :P]
I was given the description ofĀ āLike Santaās Workshop but Not Christmas!ā - I think I left the Christmas bit out though warm reds and serene greens do color the place quite heavily! The KidragoraĀ Lamp is found throughout the home. I asked the owner what they thought would represent them in an item, and that was their answer!
The Basement was a trial and error process. I was trying TOO HARD to fit crafting machines and create such a grandeur space that I forgot who it was for - a lalafell! Something small like a few stools, a long workbench, a few stepstools here and there and slowly it all pulled together to what is featured in the photos! 7/8 crafting classes are displayed here minus culinarian...unless you count the fish. xD
All in All the owner and I were very happy how this turned out. I canāt wait for them to see the walkthrough live! Come check it out and leave them a little love in their message book. ā„
