Olms are famous for their ability to remain completely motionless for months at a time, conserving every drop of energy in environments where resources are scarce. Surviving in freezing, mineral-poor underground caves requires a specialized biological constitution. The olm is built to endure extreme, hostile conditions where other creatures would quickly perish. Olms are non-confrontational, slow-moving creatures that prefer to remain hidden in the crevices of their caves. They do not pick fights or draw attention to themselves.
