Today I had a client with a #fresh #new #machining #project, so I saddled up at the #vintage #oldschool @craftsman #atlas #metallathe and got to work #turning the #aluminum. Early into the project, however, I found a #problem in the form of a dead battery in a set of digital calipers. So I hopped into my #craftsman #toolbox and dug out some #brownandsharpe and #starrett #micrometer and #depth #guages and got to #work! It was a ton of #fun (Even the #boring part.... Get it?!? Because of the boring #bar on the #metal #lathe?!?) using #retro #measuring #tools and the piece came out spot on! #toolporn #oldschooltools
