Waitttttt!!!!! Omg Southern accent appreciation 🤩 you don’t know how excited I am. To the op of that request I also get treated so bad for it. Even when I prove I'm not dumb 😫😩. Would you be able to do that same prompt with Sir Integra or Father Anderson?? If you’re willing to of course 😭🙏
How about both of them?! (≧▽≦) They’re amazing and it’s fun to explore their possible reactions!
This took YEARS to come out. /ᐠ > ˕ <マ It was a bit busy and ideas have not been rushing in the way they are supposed to. This request was fun and made me really think of Sir Integra and Father Anderson in a way that connected with their cultures. They are so adorable and amazing!
Southern Accent with SI & FA!
Sir Integra is often calculated, silent in perceiving and often considers others throughout her life as shown by her service to London and the world through the Hellsing organisation.
She has the chance of being perceived as judgmental due to her status, but her interaction with [Name] presents a huge contrast to the assumption. She doesn’t judge them by their accent, instead finding it an endearing part of them. Accents should not determine intelligence, of course.
Sir Integra would not tolerate any judgement on [Name] based on their Southern accent (anything, really). She understands and often relies as well as admires their smarts and wits, finding them an essential to the organisation’s daily functioning. She will be quick to cut off any arrogance with a remark of her own and immediate humiliation. If the individual/s is not an essential to her, expect them out of their presence.
She’s there for her partner and will always stand up for them no matter what. Demeaning them is equal to demeaning her and there shall be payment. However, she will let you hold the reins for a call-out before she joins in, ensuring that you have represented yourself well. In a world like hers, it is something that must consistently be done.
She also adores just about anything you say. Yeah, the drawl does capture her as well. Include adorable nicknames, and she will adore every moment you say them with an equally loving expression as the one on her own.
“Say that again, please.” She states when in private as a response to you blurting out a nickname you instinctively picked for her in front of Alucard. The flustered expression she made for a moment was worth it while Alucard barked out a laugh. Just hearing it spill from your soft lips once more in the accent she so adores will send her to heaven.
Sir Integra does consider her partner an equal to her regardless of the difference between them. She has no care to judge and will always be respectful. They deserve that.
Now, for Anderson. This man has a Scottish accent, so I believe he would understand your perspective. Given that there are stereotypes associated with the Scottish accent with it being viewed as less in comparison to the ‘typical’ English accent, he would wholeheartedly see your frustrations with how people perceive you and will always stand up for you whenever the occasion comes.
He is open with his call-outs. bluntly considering them to be “Mindless individuals without an ounce of decency within them.” and will make you feel as though you can be as honest as possible. In the occasion it is a high member of the Church, a formal method of calling out is appropriate.
He will provide comfort from a personal perspective, urging you to be as expressive as you want to be and to not listen to anyone who regards you lowly. Any insult towards you is one towards him as well, and with his remarks and impeding figure, Those within his vicinity will quickly learn and will be keen to regard you well.
Anderson also does believe that your Southern accent creates a nice blend with his own Scottish accent and it strengthens your uniqueness. He loves to hear you speak, appreciates every phrase exclusive to you and will insist on understanding them. He would adore your interest in his own as well, gladly providing you with whatever information you desire.
Anderson adores his partner with all that he is, and recognises their similarities and differences as a core part of their relationship.
