Hey I'm still working on the drawings there's so many I gotta split into two posts but I just wanted to share a little bit at the moment because I'm impatient with myself

So SC is now over, and it’s been a wild ride that could have been harder had I not wimped out of half the challenges X’D The Gustavs were a really excellent mechanic that made things a lot more interesting in Chapter 5, and I’m wishing I hadn’t left ranking to the last minute. Sadly, it was already really late on the last day when I stopped putting it off, and the server went down for maintenance while I was starting turn 4. Orz Also the new base bg is the most beautiful thing ever, and I’m probably going to keep it set to that beautiful field of literally breathtaking flowers well into next summer.

But honestly, I’m here to talk about the story. Everything was amazing. The gradual revelations about OGAS left my brain reeling, and I’d probably still be piecing everything together if they didn’t have 45 conveniently summarize everything for us. The Upside Down Forest is possibly the coolest thing I’ve seen out of a simulated datascape, and I’m just continuously impressed by how deep this game is going. Everything pre-chapter 11 now feels like Act 1 of something much bigger than I ever would have seen coming, and Act 2 is just getting started. Honestly, the writing quality just continues to get better as the story goes on, and I love so much of what they’re doing. Who knew my post-apocalyptic milsim would veer so hard and so deep into mindscrew sci-fi territory?

The MOD stories were also excellent. Getting backstory on 404 is something that I want to say was long overdue, but honestly it fits really well with the ongoing exposition that happened in this event. I never expected the team and its name to be Reina’s idea, or to learn that G11 was actually the glue that brought everyone together. It was also hilarious to see 416 to be even more of a stubborn hardass than she is today.
