Digitalization
I’m currently digitising interviews cassettes at work and they’re primarily from the 80’s and 90’s. Super super interesting as most of the people being interviewed were born in the 1800’s which blows my mind.
However, for some insane reason, mixed in with these interview cassettes is the previous curator’s mix tapes and none of these are labelled.
It’s like Russian roulette. Will this cassette either be a man calmly reciting the horrors of the First World War or will it be a shittily taped B*Witched album?? Who knows?!?

Just imagine a Barn Owl Guardian trying to warn you from danger and all you hear is:
Sketch made in school:
What is your opinion on making students photograph, film or voice-record themselves or their classmates as a part of an assignment and turn it in via digital platform (such as Google Classroom)
It's perfectly fine, it's good to teach kids skills they need nowadays
It's okay as long as underage students have their parents' permission for it
It's okay as long as it's voluntary and there's an alternative way to do it
It's okay only for students who are of age
It's okay [insert an explanation]
It's not okay
Other (please specify)

It aches my heart that everything must be digital. I love taking notes, write letters, doodle. I love washing the ink of my hand at the end of a writing session. I like to think, measure and dream in ink.
I like looking back at things I’ve written. The paper I used, how it wrinkles, the pen I used. I can not only read my words again, but also my mind, my feelings and emotions, my passions and my sadness.
I write to feel the words.
