odina my love!! she belongs to @nyewclear !!
GO PLAY CRYPTID COFFEEHOUSE RIGHT NYEOOWWWW!!!
Now I want to elaborate on the Makuta of Odina as our big bad villain. The thing about Vamprah is that he’s a hunter, and one who has taken a vow of silence; He acts animalistic, all things considered, and wears the Mask of Hunger, which adds to his motif as a predator who feasts on prey.
One of the earliest descriptions of Makuta was that of a “raging, kicking, screaming beast” and it’s a depiction that’s really stuck with me. Less of a person or god and more of a monster, an animalistic force of nature incomprehensible to the Matoran.
When Makuta was first introduced, it was as the master of the Rahi, powerful and dangerous beasts that have been placed under his sway by masks he infected. This precedent was not forgotten later down the line, when 2003 established Rahi Control as one of Makuta’s powers, and it was eventually revealed that the Brotherhood of Makuta’s original purpose was to create Rahi for the Matoran Universe.
So Makuta in this story is the apex predator, the leader of a pack; The most powerful beast in the land, for whom all others answer to. And an unnatural, ravaging monster with endless hunger, and a taste for sport. There’s a sadistic side to Makuta, who ravages ecosystems like an invasive species.
Here's a neat little pair of currently nameless Dark Hunters I've had sitting around for a while now. First up is a powerless Pakari-wearing Bo-Matoran outcast who joined up with the Dark Hunters after being exiled from his koro for theft. Towering over him is a green-armored warrior who shares his species with the "four-armed, giant male OoMN member with two horns who carried a multi-bladed axe", who has no particular backstory, and probably joined the Dark Hunters for simpler motives like fortune & infamy. These two were placed together by The Shadowed One as partners, to compliment each other's strengths & weaknesses. Unlike most Dark Hunters though, these guys would have usually been stationed on Odina as guards, rather than sent out on missions like their comrades. #lego #biogram #bionicle #moc #DarkHunter #DarkHunters #matoran #pakari #Odina #TSO #TheShadowedOne https://www.instagram.com/p/CPEgD3PpA9t/?utm_medium=tumblr

Dark Hunters: Mimic
My Dark Hunters first saw Mimic’s ability in use in a tavern somewhere on the mainland, a hub for wayfarers of all types. Reidak was playing some inane disk-tossing game, and figured this skinny patron would be an easy win. However, after Reidak's nearly perfect throw, Mimic took the disk and executed the exact same move. The Dark Hunters denied any culpability in the ensuing bar fight, but I know as sure as stone that it was Reidak’s fault. It was Vezok, however, who realized what was happening: much like he could mimic supernatural powers, Mimic had perfectly replicated Reidak’s physical prowess. He cut Reidak out and reported this directly to me, winning a hefty bonus for his cunning.
Imagine my excitement when I confirmed this report with my own eyes – a being who could mimic the effect of a thousand years of training, in mere moments! Unfortunately, Mimic had no incentive to serve me... yet. For many long years, he had been wandering the continent with only one companion, who excelled at living off the land. Each was all the other had left of their long-gone homeland, and neither was willing to give up that arrangement. So I would have to take it by force.
I waited until the two of them had separated: Mimic went into town for supplies, while his partner went for a hunt. Unfortunately for her, Sentrakh is no Rahi, and no simple weapon can slay him. That night, I “bumped into” Mimic at the local tavern, where he was absolutely despondent at her loss. Of course, I am nothing if not charitable. I took pity on the poor man, and offered him food, housing, and employment, for barely any recompense. I promised Mimic that my operatives would search for her in every far-flung place they visited... every place except Odina.
POWERS: Mimic is built like a Toa, though not one of any element the world has seen. He has the uncanny ability to reproduce any physical feat he witnesses, within the limits of his anatomy. Of course, he cannot actually replicate a target’s strength, endurance, or flexibility, so he must train rigorously to ensure he is in peak physical condition.
STATUS: Active. Mimic continues to fulfill his duty to me, in exchange for my help with the search. I have only one small concern... I do not know where Mimic’s companion is, either. I left her on Odina during the Destiny War, which was then occupied by Rahkshi, and destroyed in Makuta’s Fall. I doubt very much that she survived, but destiny has conspired against me before. Any reunion would be disastrous... so I keep Mimic in Creep Canyon during all of his downtime, and only send him on missions far from settlements. He understands that, as his benefactor, I am just looking out for his career.
