On a more serious note, while seemingly abundant worldwide, turtles like this green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) are still listed as endangered with decreasing numbers by the IUCN. Unfortunately and tragically, they are under tremendous stress due to coastal erosion, climate change, and still hunted and their eggs collected, a legal practice still in some countries. Humpback Whales are some of our planets most majestic creatures, 👋🐋 Now more then ever we need strong advocates for our environment, a major part being our oceans ecosystems and their inhabitants. @oceanconservancy works to speak up and defend this crucial part of our planet, and it's organizations like them that give us hope. With sales from our Big Sur Collection, we were able to donate $10,000 last year and were even able to be donor matched for a total of $20,000. This year we will continue to do our part in conserving and protecting the environment by donating a percentage of our sales to organizations that work to preserve wild lands and advocate for animals.
