'Occupy Sydney Uni' has been changed to 'Reclaim Sydney Uni'. Obvs I'm glad, but I'm also aware it was done as part of damage control re the deleted threads, and largely because some key white lefties from campus chimed in. I will say that I fucking love the people who modelled actual solidarity/'allyship' behaviour: 'this is fucked, I'm not supporting your action until you change the name;'/[does some of the laborious educative work]. It was encouraging to see, because I was side-eyeing the guest list and beginning to hate everyone. Anyway, I've got stuff to do today that doesn't involve the left and their pretensions, so I better get to it.
