#oc sunset

Somewhere in the building, a little kid is crying. At first Sunset tries to follow the sound, but all she finds is that it's coming from the ducts. The only thing she can think of is to check the furnace rooms but there's no one there. She can hear the crying from every room. It's faint, so she can tune it out while she works.

The worst part is, no matter who she asks, no one else can hear it.

For a while she thinks she's being haunted. The misery of the noise makes her miserable.

It's not constant, that's how she's sure she ISN'T being haunted. Sunset is sure if she were being haunted it would have never gone away. Sometimes she can hear mumbles in the sobs too.

One day, she finds a little girl crying at the edge of the castle at the start of the fields that surround the city wall. She's no where near anything that could have carried her voice all the way to the library where Sunset works, but Sunset knows this is the person she's heard crying all this time as soon as she hears the child's sobs.
