“You are strangely obdurate,” you notice, when Lucifer appears in your room, trying to convince you to join his army. “Why so stubborn?”

“I just think you will make an amazing soldier,” he informs you, and you chuckle - in the pajamas, sleepy and soft, you look nothing like a soldier. Unlike Sammy who could kill anything in his sleep, you look more like a fluffy teddy bear.

“Satan, what do you want, love?” you yawn and pull the blanket higher, already falling asleep.

“Well, you, of course,” you almost choke on your air. “And I am extremely obstinate.”

“Yeah, I have noticed that,” you shake your head, then sigh. “Fine, just sit there, tell me about your evil plan, alright?” he nods quickly and sits next to you on the bed.

“So, I have to find God, my dad, to make sure he pays for what he did to me,” his voice is surprisingly soft, so you are not really surprised by the fact that your eyes start closing, and his plaid-covered shoulder serves as a pillow - good and soft pillow. At some point, you hear the voice stop talking about his plans for revenge, but the shoulder does not go anywhere, letting you slip deeper into the dreams, as Lucifer strokes your hair and murmurs something under his breath.

“Keep talking,” you whisper. “I am all ears.”
