I can totally see this as a Picture Perfect type of thing (minus the affair with the coworker)

Elsa meets Liam when he was at a wedding and they get their picture taken as the two only single people in the room. Later on, when she is denied a promotion bc she has no strings, she pretends Liam is her boyfriend. She tracks him down and offers him money to pretend he’s her bf. Liam agrees to help her, but doesn’t want the money. It all escalates when Anna shows up in town and then Killian and his friends also want to throw them an engagement party. 

Needless to say, it all blows up on said fake engagement party. After putting back together her rep at work, Elsa realizes that she really misses Liam now that he’s no longer around to help her.... and she goes find him!

I don’t think Bawson (Ginny and Mike from Pitch) could have gotten to number 1, and ousted either Josh/Donna or Captain Swan, but they had huge shipping potential for me. I j’adored them. I loved the dynamic, the situation, the characters, the story and the actor’s chemistry.  

In the 10 episodes we did get, I was very much shipping them and was a bit gutted that the show was cancelled. *shakes my fist at Fox*  

To rise to an OTP level for me, the show would have needed to not get them together too quickly (because that usually leads to the show deciding to destroy it almost as quickly) but I could have lived in that ‘we have feelings for one another but can’t act on them because of the team, so we’re just gonna pine and vibrate with UST every single episode’ zone for several years. If it was done well that could have owned me.  

In two episodes, I felt as if it stayed true to the book. Definitely a mysterious and intriguing vibe going on so far.

@o-u-a-timer I discovered fanfiction thanks to OTH and I wrote a lot of different fics/pairings there. Jake/Peyton was my main, because they are one of my OTPs. But I also did Nathan/Peyton, Nathan/Brooke, Nathan/OC, Lucas/Haley... and then a few more. But I have a lot of Jeyton written... they were such a great couple to explore. I’ve always headcanon Jake becoming a writer and him and Peyton would be this artistic happy couple.
