Did you see Colin is apparently selling NFTs now?
Yep, I sort of side-eyed it when he started posting about it, but didn't pay much attention. When I noticed there were "experiences" attached I looked more carefully. I admit I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to NFTs, however reading what he posted none of it passes the smell test. So all I would say is please proceed with caution, just because Colin has always been a good guy, don't assume that his involvement makes it a good thing to do.
hii, i hope this isn’t too presumptuous but i was wondering if you could point me in the direction of a good place to get episodes of Sen Çal Kapımı? i’m american and i can’t find it any where streaming, i saw your gifs and i figured i’d ask! ty!!
Hello! Welcome. The show is not (yet, hopefully someday) available in the US, however there are several sites that have *cough* unofficial *cough* versions with English translations including Turkish123.com, expressdizi.com, superriki.yt, dizi4u.com. The English translations are based on auto-translations so occasionally it doesn't make sense and it will garble pronouns (Turkish doesn't have gendered pronouns) but it's enough to understand and all part of the charm!
The official youtube channel has all of the full length episode available in HD, as well as many clips, but unfortunately they disabled the auto translations of closed captions near the end of the run of the show. That's where I get the video to gif.
The sites I mentioned above have lots of popups, but I find that they don’t seem to do any damage. I just X out and keep on plugging. If you want to use a popup blocker or watch on a mobile device I found that usually helps. Also on Turkish123 (which is where I recommend you start) I found that once you've selected the episode and if you choose "Option 2" under the player, click until that loads, then click play (click and x out of popups until it loads), that once it starts playing, a download arrow appears in the lower right hand corner of the player. If you click that (once you get passed any new popups) a new browser window opens with a download option. I'd choose 720 and then that will load the episode in that window. Once you're in that window you're free from popups. So from that window you can actually download it to the hard drive of your computer or just watch it without popups and with better functionality (rewind, pause, etc). I downloaded every episode and found it safe for my computer.
Let me know how it goes! If you have problems I'm happy to help troubleshoot or find other options. But most of all enjoy! It's such a fun ride.
Can You make a edit of chapter 27 when Eda proposed ti Serkan please
Hello! I would be happy to. Back when 26 and 27 aired I made a couple of sets (linked below) but I've been meaning to revisit and to do more of that scene so I'll move that to the top of my giffing to do list. Look for the first in the next week or so!
Eda proposes on plane
What are we going to do in Paris?
Which of these two meddling mamas is worse? Aydan or Ayfer?
NO CONTEST. Ayfer.
Ayfer is the WOOOOOOOOOOORST.
Listen, sure, Aydan is suddenly all anti-Eda and she doesn't seem to have a reason for it other than she left when Serkan pushed her away, but it doesn't matter, because she has zero power over Serkan. Serkan does not listen to her or heed her when it comes to her trying to meddle in his life. Her meddling isn't really annoying, because it's ineffectual. Also, she may have some sort of grudge, however that hasn't manifested into her doing something horrible like lying and hiding a child for 5 years, or putting pressure on her son to lie and hide a child from the child's other parent for 5 years.
Ayfer on the other is a nasty, intolerable piece of work that puts so much pressure on Eda that Eda feels like she can't tell her the truth and has to hide the fact that she has spoken to Kiraz's father. They were literally tiptoeing around behind her back and lying to her face because of what her reaction would be. That is fucked up.
Plus Ayfer is actively trying to prevent Eda from telling Serkan the truth. She was thrilled Melo stole the letter they thought Eda wrote. That is beyond anything that is in the realm of acceptable. So can you imagine how she reacted any time over the years where Eda might have been feeling like she wanted to reach out to Serkan? I bet Ayfer is a big reason Eda never told him and that influence is one of the big reasons she is 100 times worse than Aydan.
Also Ayfer is actively trying to marry Eda off to a man she doesn't have feelings for whose apparent biggest selling point is that he's not Serkan, just to prevent Serkan from being a part of his daughter's life. Why doesn't she give a sh-t about what Eda wants or how Eda feels? Why would she want Eda in a loveless marriage with a stale piece of white bread? I don't know but she clearly doesn't care what Eda actually wants or needs, she just cares that neither Kiraz nor Eda has Serkan.
Additionally, Ayfer gets uptight when anyone says anything positive about Kiraz's father particularly when someone points out how Kiraz takes after him. So basically she's setting up a situation where eventually Kiraz will sense that any of "those" traits and talents are bad and something to be ashamed of because of crotchety, old, Great Aunt Ayfer's reactions. That alone is enough to kick her out of Kiraz's life. No joke, that's exactly how kids get insecurities and emotional scars.
Also, from the teaser, we know that Ayfer is actively trying to cut her great niece off from her actual family money. "We don't need his money." Listen, bitch, that's not your call. Ayfer only had a flower shop because Serkan intervened and saved it. Now she's a temporary cook and she's 100% living off her niece. So she doesn't get to make financial decisions for Eda and Kiraz, not only because it's none of her damn business, but because she's terrible at it!
On a final note, Aydan is tolerable because she's funny. Her antics are amusing. Her meddling is played for comedy.
Ayfer is humorless. Her antics are boring and she's an insufferable, judgmental gasbag who does real damage and who can't leave soon enough. Can we trade her to get Ferit back?

Where do you watch Sen Çal Kapimi?? I need subtitles! 🥲🥲 Thank youuu!
You can find eps with English subtitles at Turkish123!
New ep ask: Do you feel like the “baba” moment was earned? Cause I felt like they should’ve done a bigger moment for it instead of the allergic reaction scare which had nothing to do with Serkan?
Good question. I actually think it was well done. Here's the thing, her calling him Baba wasn't just about that moment. Fatherhood is never about just one grand moment, rather, fatherhood is about everyday. So Serkan "earning" Kiraz calling him Baba, wasn't about what he did when she had the allergic reaction, it was about her being relieved to see him and being glad he's there, because of all the things he did leading up to that.
It was about the time he'd spent with her and the effort he'd put in since they met. So he was "earning" it by every action he took in the last two episodes, from showing up in an astronaut suit, to building her flying house for her birthday, to spending one-on-one time with her and introducing her to his horses and his dog, and teaching her to ride a pony of her own, taking them stargazing and even crashing the fishing outing. And then this episode just being there when she went to sleep and when she woke up, playing together (Serkan on a scooter!), taking an interest in her drawings, baking together, cooking together, watching a movie together, not to mention him building a kindergarten in his office for her. That's how he earned it, but him being present for her when she was sick and feeling scared is what compelled her to say it.
Also I don't agree that the moment had nothing to do with him. Narratively, that scene was more about him than anyone else. It was about him needing validation about fatherhood in that exact moment. She got the snack at his office. Now Serkan probably had no idea those were there, he would certainly not have chosen strawberry flavored treats for the office, but he's still going to blame himself. He'd blame himself for just not watching her closely enough, and for even allowing a moron like Erdem to be in the building at the same time as her.
He was feeling horrible, he had been trying soooo hard to be a good dad and to build their family, but it was just brought home to him that in one moment it can all go so horribly wrong. You could see the mental spiral he was in. Eda recognized it and let her veneer of indifference drop and tried to reassure him, but the person he needed this from was Kiraz. And that’s what we got. With one word, Kiraz validated the job he's doing and claimed him as her dad right at his lowest moment as a new parent. It’s hard to think of a better moment for her to do it, because it brought home to him what Eda was trying to tell him. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about showing up.
The show I’m requesting for is When Calls The Heart on hallmark. Lucas and Elizabeth pairing
I'm not very familiar with it, but I'll put it out there and see if any followers are interested in giffing that show/pairing for you.
