NUS Communications for Actions Conference
Earlier in the summer I attended the NUS Communications for Action Conference in Milton Keynes.
The event spanned over 2 days and covered a range of topics which included:
how a strong reputation increases engagement
multimedia storytelling
managing design projects
writing skills
social media and integrating digital communication
communicating during the welcome period
marketing student media
monitoring and evaluating work
communicating impact
as well as discussing NUS priorities
As you can see this was a very full itinerary of seminars and workshops, and I learned so much from this conference.
It wasn’t all sitting an listening however! It was an amazing chance to network with other student’s unions from across the country. I met some great people and the 2 days really got me thinking about my next year a the Raise & Give Officer for Leeds College of Art, and get me excited about what we can achieve!
The conference was not only useful for my role as RAG officer, but also as a Visual Communication student. Gotta love being involved with the SU, opens up so many more opportunities!
