Why I would NOT date...

- I would have hard time keeping up with him. I am also fairly certain he is already in love with Trapper, so.

- Ohhh this is a hard one because I think we'd be a very nice couple who gifts jars of pickles for our friends and neighbours. But I think that we would never date because if we had a crush on each other, neither of us would have the courage to admit it and we'd mutually pine for eternity.

Jean Valjean

- We would not date because if I was to ask him out on a date, he would moan about not deserving good things in this life and then he'd retire to his Shame Hut to eat stale bread.

Javert

- I already said I wouldn't date another character because they are too tough on crime, imagine me turning around and dating the official tough on crime icon.... Anyway, our values would be too different, also he would want nothing to do with a harlot like me. But even if this was an au version of Javert where he doesn't jump of a bridge when he learns about shades of gray, I would not date him because I actually like to have fun every once in a while and you can not have fun with someone whose idea of a good time includes reading even though you hate reading and enjoying a pinch of snuff.

- Ohhhh my god(des heh heh) she would eat me alive. Well. Maybe I would like to date her, but I would be constantly worried because she is so outgoing and I would be worried something happened to her. So I would not date her because of that.

Few things in life, I have realized, compare to the high of being on a case with my good friend Sherlock Holmes. Witnessing his great gift, and watching as he almost effortlessly weaved the tapestry of particulars of a case before our very eyes, was an experience like nothing else, and the adventures and misadventures assembling each of these particulars was the highlight of my years with him. However, even better than helping him solve a great case was the time directly after it, when my dear Holmes absolutely glittered with triumph, and was in such high spirits that it made him feel untouchable. By sheer virtue of being by his side, I too was buoyed in my spirits.

but since corona is a virus, won’t anything “anti bacterial” be basically useless against it?? and doesn’t normal soap do the job just nicely anyway?

hand sanitiser is effective against coronavirus (some good info on it here) and it’s good to have for when washing your hands with soap & water isn’t an option. the quantities people are buying it in are. absurd however. 

I got wordy as ever but here goes…

1) My husband. Being home with him for three weeks straight after four months mostly apart because I was taking care of my mother before and after her surgery made me just… overflow with happiness. Going to the grocery store or cleaning bathrooms or playing the same card game for the fifth time in a weekend can be exquisite if it’s together with one’s favourite person.

2) Writing. I’m struggling a bit with my current WIPs (a little Russingon thing and the next Lothíriel fic) but on the whole writing makes me very happy.

3) Happy! (my mother’s dog who I’ve also been taking care of a lot) He’s 9 months old now and becoming a very nice dog. He has learnt to chill in most situations and to behave better. He even treated with patience and tolerance a very badly behaved younger, smaller puppy. (My cousin’s Pomeranian-Chihuhua mix who yapped at Happy the whole time, and hung on to his long ruff, and even tried humping Happy’s head… as you can see below.)

4) Spring, and it’s on its way here now :)
