Do they in a way claim Bruce as theirs. As pack. But he never makes the connection or finds out about their protectiveness
They are. He is their mama, eventually, and their Bruce before and after that. No one is getting near him.
Bruce sees it. It confuses him, because they don't want him, so he doesn't understand why they don't want other people to want him. But he likes it. Sometimes he deliberately angers them, leaning in too close to an alpha he knows is interested, or letting that beta wrap an arm around his waist, perching on that omega's knee, waiting for one of his kids to play the sick card, or climb the drapes, or do something they know will drag Bruce away from his date, or friend, or business partner, which always amuses him when he's just talking about a new division of W.E. and his kids come up to him, mumbling that they're tired, climbing up him so he holds them, and takes them home.
He doesn't know how his eyes light up talking about his charities, talking about the work he does for Gotham, the way it draws in everyone, his contagious love for the city, the way he can have entire rooms hanging onto his every word, unintentionally, the way his kids seethe in the background watching it happen, watching people salivate over him.
Bruce, hating himself for it, late at night, condemning himself for toying with them, but.... it's almost like having a pack. Being protected. Being loved.
Almost.
But it's the most he's going to get from them, so he'll take it. And, sometimes, shamefully, he'll deliberately trigger it. Just to check if they still react the same.
