AMAZING reference chart put together by Nadeshico Rin, showing the different attires worn by the men of the buke class in and about Edo Castle. OP stresses the chart is by no means exhaustive - but it helps picturing things SO MUCH!
For easier reading, I have adapted the chart with english translation. Rin has also created illustrations detailing each attire, I'll translate those in coming days under the tag "samurai kimono".

Is it Yoshi? Noshi, it’s not. It’s Noshi! That was not a legitimate question. I know you would not think this is Yoshi. If you legitimately thought this could be Yoshi, then I am fascinated at the minuscule role media must play in your life. I would like to learn from you.
Noshi lives in Dino Dino Jungle, where I am assuming it is the titular Dino! Yes, I know there is a pterosaur there. Those are not dinosaurs! Noshis are the only dinosaurs we see in this jungle, unless Yoshi is driving through, I guess. That Yoshi keeps causing shenanigans on this post!
Noshi’s main purpose is to serve as an obstacle as they drive among its funny column legs, and I’m not COMPLETELY sure, but this image seems to confirm a suspicion I’ve had: I do not think this creature has joints in its legs. I think its limbs just shorten spontaneously. Scoff at that all you want, but Noshi’s smile is genuine. This is a viable evolutionary strategy that has allowed it to survive while all the other large dinosaurs went extinct!
This really is a delightful creature, isn’t it? A very mellow, pleasant cuteness, unlike the in-your-face kind seen on Yoshi. Now, normally, a large herbivore would be incredibly dangerous. Their diet may make them seem “friendly”, but they are able to stay still and eat constantly, they don’t need to regularly chase after their food, and they need to be ready to react quickly if a predator appears. That’s a whole dang lot of potential energy that Noshi could unleash without warning at any given moment! Imagine the destruction it could cause! Who decided it was safe to race around this thing’s feet?!
At least it’s comfortably in its natural habitat, where it won’t be exposed to any unfamiliar, stressful phenomena. Could you imagine if a beast this huge was in, like, a major, crowded city?
Stop that, Mario Kart Tour! As if being a gacha game wasn’t bad enough already!

This furisode features a large sweeping noshi (bundled ribbon) design in pastels on cream. There are two bundles tied - one on the front panel and upper back with the ends extending across the entire kimono. Beautiful floral jacquard, couching embroidery, and smaller repeated patterns stenciled in gold and silver.
A traditional vintage furisode kimono originally created for a young, unmarried woman. Furisode are worn for formal events, such as Seijin-no-hi (Coming of Age Day, sometimes translated as Adults Day) in early January. Furisode are also worn for weddings, recitals, receptions, and other celebrations calling for formal attire. Note the long sleeves (furi = long, sode = sleeves) sometimes called "butterfly sleeves", which flow with grace when she gestures, attracting male attention!
