౨ৎ how can you say no to those puppy dog eyes

౨ৎ he is constantly showing you off to the point that even his teammates are annoyed, and they deal with his shenanigans everyday

౨ৎ you are 100% his date to any school event

౨ৎ pays for everything (and i mean everything), even though he might not be able to afford it

౨ৎ anything from your makeup products to your socks is free, for you at least

౨ৎ protective but in an endearing way

౨ৎ like he’ll threaten to fight someone who cat calls you but literally can not fight

౨ৎ he may be a big football player but all he can do is tackle

౨ৎ and it’s not like he even wanted to play football

౨ৎ SPEAKING OF THAT, you’re the one person he can rant to about his mom and how stressful the sport is

“I like your shirt,” He says, gesturing to the band tee you’re wearing tonight.

“Oh, thanks!” For a split second you hoped he was just a guy who liked talking about music. “You like them?”

He hesitates until saying, “Yup. They’ve been my favorite band for years.”

Of course he wasn’t.

Before you can think of how to respond, you hear an all too familiar voice from behind Eddie. “Yeah? what’s your favorite song by them?”

Eddie moves to left slightly, making room for Mindy to stand beside him. “Um- can’t pick, love them all.”

“Really?” Mindy asks with a tilt of her head and a taunting grin on her face. “You’ve gotta have at least one in mind.”

He presses his lips into a line. “No, not really.”

“Well, our Y/n here only really likes people who have favorites.” She says, pointing towards you, even with drinks in each hand. “So…”

He seems to sense his defeat, glaring at Mindy before leaving, probably to find another helpless girl. Mindy moves closer to you, handing you one of the drinks she was holding.

“I could’ve gotten rid of him.” You say, accepting the beverage.

Mindy’s smile turns into a sweeter one, though still playful. “I know, but enjoy doing it. Tell me right now that if you had sent him away all by yourself, you wouldn’t have felt the slightest bit bad.”

You stay silent, trying not to acknowledge the barely there guilt you had watching Mindy send him away.

She raises her eyebrows, forcing an answer out of you.

Refusing to actually say you feel bad for him at all, you simply state, “You got me there.”

She hums in response, taking a sip of her drink. Her brows furrow. “What is this?”

“You tell me, you’re the one who got it.” You retort, glancing at the liquid in your cup.
